Flying LA area to Orlando

I've been searching for a good fare for months from LAX to Orlando in January. Anyone have any clues if the rates usually drop closer to the time of travel? We have 6 people so we really want to find a lower fare. Thanks for you help! Lisa

Southwest did have flights for $198.00 R/T through January 11th; if you're planning to travel after that, keep an eye on their website, and sign up for the newsletter and DING fares.

we are flying out of LAX too, but not until April! We plan on taking the redeye, non stop, but prices are still $419/pp. Not willing to pay that. I am checking daily to see if it's gone down but no luck yet!
