Hi all -- we're planning a trip to FW with a scout troop. How does Magical Express work with your baggage? Do you have to haul your stuff all the way to your campsite from the check-in building? Will Magical Express bring you to your loop?

Thank you!
Wendy

Magical Express will drop you off at the Outpost where you check in. Ask at the desk for transportation to your campsite and they will take you there in a van and bring the rest of your checked luggage when it arrives. If you call the desk the night before you leave they will pick you up and bring you and your luggage to the Outpost for Magic Express pickup.Your checked luggage should arrive about 2 hours after you check in.

OP my family and I are also flying in to go camping at WDW in July---I just wanted to add when ME picks us up at the airport we plan on bringing our tent on the bus with us and leaving the rest to be delivered---This way we can get a head start on setting up the tent so by the time our stuff arrives we can just put it in the tent!! Hope this helps!!

Thanks for the quick replies -- good idea to bring the tents to set up quickly!

So, you can pick up some of the checked luggage (i.e., bag with tent) and bring that with you to FW, and your other checked luggage can be delivered later?
Sorry, but all of these "flying and camping" threads have me brainstorming of a future trip with a tent and I am weighing the options. If it is just me and 1 or 2 of the kids, I don't really want to drive down and pull the camper. PLUS, the kids have never flown, so this could be a cool adventure!

Anything you want to pick up from baggage claim and bring with you on Magical Express, just DON'T put the yellow tag on it.

Just to let you know on my experience last December. I decided to go ahead and put the yellow tags on everything. My bags arrived at Ft. Wilderness by the time I got there, checked in and stopped in the restroom. They took both me and my bags to my Loop at the same time. Of course, every ME experience is unique. YMMV. If you want to be sure to have your tent with you, then by all means pick it up separately.
