flying from seattle

Hey Deanie. We booked our airfare out of Seattle on AmericaWest back in February and got $442.66 each Canadian. It was certainly better than flying out of YVR and we were concerned about getting flights as we're travelling on December 27, being a busy time of year for air travel.

I'm sure there are deals to be had, depending on how far out you're booking.

Jan 2004 we were quoted $321.00 CDN per person out of Seattle with southwest and american.

The lowest I have seen our of Seattle is just under $300 Cdn on American Ailines. I find the best source is expedia.ca

Right now for flights Aug 17 - Oct 15 from SEA - MCO $218 CDN plus taxes on several airlines.

Definitely depends on dates, we got $391 from SEA to MCO for president's week in Feb 2003, all taxes included (Cdn of course.) But sometimes I've seen much cheaper rates in summer. It does seem worth it to fly from SEA rather than YVR, that's for sure.

Thanks so much for your replies. My TA was quoting me prices of about $450 each. I am going back tomorrow to see about these other fares that you have mentioned. I am getting excited already! When the five of us flew to WDW in 1994, we saved $1400 flying from Seattle instead of Vancouver. In 1998, we saved $500 for the five of us - still worthwhile driving that extra couple of hours!
