Flying Fish... Short & Sweet

Menu good, food GREAT, service mediocre, atmosphere adequate, portions A COMPLETE JOKE.

Been doing Disney signatures since the early nineties, but for whatever reason last week was our first trip to the FF.

We will not return.

The portions are small, I guess service depends on the person and what kind of mood they are in etc. We had a fantastic time there last time we went. Our server was very attentive and informative on all options for all the various dining needs in our party.

FF is one of our favorites. What did you order? DH and I usually order one or two appetizers, our own entree, and our own dessert if we are not too full. If we are we split one. I've never left hungry. I guess it depends on the individual. I for one would never go to Narcoosses and order the lobster for $72.00!!

I guess FF is hit or miss. We went right after the renovation and it was terrible. Our server was training another server that night and they both seemed to forget that we existed. Our meal last almost 3 hours. When the food arrived, it was bland and wasn't cooked as we requested it. It was truly one of the worst WDW signatures meals we had had (Narcoosee's tops it with the server completely forgetting our entrees and then delivering them to our table stone cold.)

We then went back to FF last summer as we were staying at BWI and it was pouring rain so we didn't want to go far and they had availability. It was AMAZING! I couldn't believe the change from our first visit. Food was great and the service was outstanding. I don't remember the portions being small, but we aren't huge eaters, so perhaps I didn't notice?

WOW we took family 6 adults to dinner there end of Jan...it was great!..Our daughter remarked she liked it better than Cali Grill...mostly the atmosphere she said...We had steaks and fish ...and drinks... The grandson(29) was disappointed in Narcossee that week tho...I hear they have a new chef and much on the menu has changed...

Sorry to hear this!! FF used to be a favorite of ours. Haven't been there in a few years. Hear so much hit or miss on the signatures lately.

We always enjoyed the the FF until the remodel. Since the remodel we feel the quality has gone downhill somewhat. That said my wife and I always try to get one lunch in at SRT everyone we are in EPCOT. We generally order 3 appetizers and share them. I will say the food is a little different and may not be for everyone.

It's my favorite restaurant in Disney. Service can not only vary from visit to visit but table to table in the same night depending on your server. As for atmosphere if you're not feeling it there's no fixing that. Again for me I loved the atmosphere. I always have left feeling pretty full so portions to me seemed fine.

As you said there appear to be much better fits for you than FF. I hope this was the last sub par dining experience for you at Disney.

We went for the first time since the renovations a few weeks ago. We, along with another party seated right after us, asked to be moved as our tables were right where the staff enters and exits the kitchen area. It felt like sitting in the middle of the freeway! The server was pretty good but we have had much better. Food was ok, not spectacular like in the past. Not a fan of the seaweed bread basket-ick! The smell of fish makes me sick and I'm sensitive to seaweed too. Not sure why they don't just add some different selections along with the seaweed bread.

We have eaten there multiple times. I have never considered the portions to be small. When I go to an expensive restaurant, I don't expect the plate to be heaping with food, I expect quality.
We will get an appetizer and entree each. May or may not get dessert. Never left hungry.
