Flying Fish or Yaghtsman

I thought I was sold on Flying Fish - we go there just about everytime we're in Disney, but I've seen alot about the Yaghtsman here on the boards. If you could only do one Signature dining meal, which would you choose?

Hands down Flying Fish...it was to die for. DH liked the NY strip from FF so much better than the filet from the Yachtsman

Same here. We weren't impressed with Yachtsman. It was ok, but given the choice between FF and YS, out of ten meals I'd go to FF 9 and YS 1.

We prefer FF over Yachtsman. FF is noisier but has the better food.

Boy, that's a tough one! Loved them both. I found Yachtsmen to be a little less noisy and better seating (perhaps there weren't as many kids there that day), but perhaps FF 's food was better by a tiny bit.

Hands down - Yachtsman has it all over the Flying Fish.

OK, now that we've evened that out, seriously they are both great restaurants and you won't go wrong with either. We enjoy a good steak in nice surroundings and a nicely paired bottle of wine. We get great service from our favorite servers at YSH and that keeps us going back. We've also eaten at FF and enjoyed that as well. Perhaps you should just check the menu's and decide based on what looks good? You can find the restaurant menus right here on the DIS.

It is so very close. My dad went with us in 2002 and he still rates his flying fish steak as one of his top 5 EVER, and he traveled a lot back in the day. I really enjoyed Yachtsman last spring, but I don't know if I can be objective since the two experiences were almost 6 years apart. How about you do FF this trip, and YS next time? I don't think you can go wrong.

Flying Fish has the open kitchen where you can see the Chef's prepare food as well as the excitement of the Boardwalk. I am a Chef and love steaks, mashed potatoes and creamed spinach, but was disappointed when I chose the Yachtsman over my original B-day dinner at Jiko. I chose the Wagyu beef Sirloin and it was good, but not memorable. I've dined at the FF twice and look forward to returning in November while at the Boardwalk.

WOW now I'm torn if we should go to FF over Yaghtsman..decisions lol.

I guess I will check out both menus and see which I prefer.

OP sounds like you are making a great choice.
