I would appreciate input from anyone who has eaten at both. I LOVE Jiko and must eat there every time I go...I have never been to FFC. I was thinking an evening on the Boardwalk might be fun for a non-park day; the alternative is a few hours in the Victoria Falls Lounge and then dinner at Jiko. What would you do?

I know this is less than helpful but I would try to do both. :lmao:

All laughing aside, Flying Fish is a tremendous restaurant and if you or your sister enjoy really well prepared and creative seafood then FF is not to be missed.

We also like Jiko very much, which is why choosing between them is something we try not to do.

So many restaurants, so little time. :goodvibes

a few hours in Victoria Falls?????
it's a good thing Jiko is just down the stairs!!
Jiko and Flying Fish are two of our favorite restaurants. We live in Celebration and eat at both of them a lot. Since you've never tried Flying Fish, I think you really must give it a try. It's a completely different experience but both restaurants are best in their class. The crab cake starter is the best I've ever had and the signature potato wrapped snapper is seriously good. believe it or not, though, I usually have their steak. I think it's the best on property. Good luck.

We love Flying Fish and Jiko and have been to both more times than we can count.

I would head over to Flying Fish for cocktails and dinner, then head back to Jiko bar for drinks. We aren't fans of Victoria falls, but the Jiko bar is fantastic.

Both are consistent restaurants where you will have a good dining experience. Personally, we would select Flying Fish.

Both are very good restaurants (my personal favorites). Hard choice here. I agree with a previous poster that I like Jiko's bar better than Victoria's Falls. Great service there. They will let you try some African wines.

I think that the food overall is better at Jiko's, but both are very, very good. Probably better seafood at FF, but I'm not a big seafood fan, so this doesn't matter as much to me.

Boardwalk really is a fun place to hang out. If you are looking for a place to spend the evening, the Boardwalk is fun. There aren't a lot of places to get a drink if you are looking for that. The Yachtclub has a nice little bar.

In the end, I think I would chose Jiko's because I enjoy the food more, but you really can't lose with either choice.

I enjoyed FF but I like Jiko much better :)

They are both really good. Since I've done them both, I'd head back to Jiko; but since this isn't about me - I'd suggest YOU try Flying Fish :)

I thought both had excellent food and service, Jiko seemed to be a bit quieter (as in noise-level, not amount of diners). As I said, I enjoyed them both. The main reason I ate at Flying Fish on my last trip (as opposed to Jiko or California Grill) was to try a new "signature" restaurant. Whatever you choose - you can't really go wrong.
