Just saw the menu for this on WDWIG and it didn't have the pork tenderloin or the new york strip steak. It still shows on the DIS menus. Anyone know if it's still on the menu?

I hope the steak is still there..it is mighty good. Report back later tonight.

Thanks!!!!

Will be looking forward to your report.

Another superb meal at the Flying Fish on Christmas night (we ate at Emeril's for lunch so we are stuffed to the gills...need to hit the track tomorrow). I had the New York Strip and it was outstanding...one of the best secrets within Disney World. Every bit as good as Morton's, The Palm, Ruth Chris or other national chains. Not sure what spices they use to get the charred flavor but it sure is tasty and very tender. They don't undercook their steaks (per our waiter Frankie) so ask before ordering. Served with new potatoes and green beans (which could have been cooked longer). I left the bernaise sauce on the side..it wasn't needed.

Tonight they offered a large pork chop (as good as tenderloin which wasn't available) with sliced sweet potatoes and roasted chestnuts...my mother-in-law said it was also outstanding....cooked over the flame grill. The other special was golden tilefish which sounded very good but no one else tried it.

The potatoe wrapped black grouper with leek fondue was excellent as always. Sometimes they use snapper but the grouper looked very nice tonight. We also tried the peeky toe crab cakes (very little filling...would make Baltimore proud). Margarita's topped off an excellent meal. We skipped desert after all our Christmas eating but they always have a number of mouth watering choices.

The bill for five was $204 without tip (one round of drinks, appetizer and entry). Not inexpensive but excellent all around. The wait without preferred seating was two hours.

Let me know if you have any other questions. I think the food is consistently better here than California Grill (which relies on the view and ambience) and in the top three of all restaurants here.
Again....the steak is simply outstanding but you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. This is simply an outstanding restaurant...one of the best in Florida (believe me in my travels I try most out across the state). I still go for Joe's Stone Crabs in Miami Beach as my favorite but the Fish rocks as well.

We had the steak at Flying Fish on Christmas Eve! FANTASTIC!!

We had our favorite server, John, he's a true professional AND really funny too.
We do sit at the high bar if Anderson is working, he's great too. If the restaurant is crowded, you can almost always be seated at one of the bars. The "low bar" is right in front of the kitchen and the wood burning grill, it's fun to watch the cooks in action.

Flying Fish is the BEST restaurant on Disney property! :)
