I have always wanted to stay at The Fort Wilderness with our camper. But, we never wanted to drive with it from buffalo.
For our next trip in the end of August I was thinking about flying down with our tent, sleeping bags, air mattress, etc and staying in a tent. There will only be two of us tenting and I will be packing the bare necessities.
We were going to stay at Coronado or AKL, but I'm pushing for FW. Maybe it's crazy, Thanks.

I don't tent camp , but I can tell you ,it sure is hot at the Fort in Aug. , might be worth bring'n your camper down less you just have your heart set on tenting . Love that A/C !!
) In 2006, I camped for a couple nights by myself in October. It was plenty hot then (unseasonably so & no AC). The only rain I had was quite light and posed no problem. This time though, I am putting up a tarp over the tent just in case.
