have you ever taken a flyfrive package - but not collected the car?

I have priced up a quite reasonable flydrive holiday for next year with virgin, but as soon as I add the car for the duration ( and the luggage :scared:)the price goes way up.. I was wondering if you let Virgin know that you aren't taking their car and if it gets messy if you waltz up the the same car rental company and have 2 cars booked :confused3

Any advice would be great :thumbsup2

We have done this twce now.
Each time the price it gave included a car free for the first week, and each time we just turned up at the airport and went straight to Dollar to collect the car that we had booked ourselves.

We never told Virgin that we would be doing this and have never had any problems either
