Hi all, not logged on for a while but been lurking ;)

Accommodation and tickets all booked for next year, am thinking of booking a flydrive as like the idea of deposit only and am happy with the price that has been quoted. Just wanted to ask does anyone know if there is an issue if you only use the flight and do not pick up the car?

Long way off but lots to plan :)

Ive not done a fly drive but done a holiday and not picked the car up, we booked with with someone else as cheaper

Sorry I missed this when you first posted.

Is it Virgin Holidays?

2 seperate things here. A package you have the option to not have the car, as you are buying flights & hotel you have the choice to take the car or not.

A flydrive is exactly that, a flight and a car, in the T&C's you have to take the car or they can charge you an unpackaging fee(£30pp?)
Saying that many of us have just not collected the car, I have never heard of anyone being billed afterwards, they only charge the fee if you tell them upfront.
Usually an expensive way of buying a flight but as I say I have done it.

Thanks :)

Yes it would be through Virgin - It is slightly more expensive, but I'm happy with the price and the main benefit is being able to pay a deposit and then the balance nearer the time :thumbsup2

I just wondered if others had done it and whether a fee had been billed on return
