I was thinking about a half day fly fishing excursion while on Eastern (January 22-30). I was thinking of targeting tarpon or bonefish.
Has anyone gone on one? If so..
With what outfitter?
For what species?
How was it?
I am not planning on bringing my rod.

If I cannot find a fly fishing trip, and the fish are kept, I would like to find someplace where I can eat some of my catch immediately after. We are going on the eastern cruise.

Thanks!:bounce:

I looked around for similar and could only find either party boats or 1/2 / full day charters, i just searched on google for the stop i wanted, however we've ended up booking castaway cay fishing which get's good reports.

We tried to fish on our Western cruise. Basically, most of the all ashore times make fishing very difficult to do. You get into port after the morning boats leave, and leave before the evening boats come back. My DH did do the CC fishing excursion and really enjoyed it. They caught lots of fish, including a couple of really big sharks. It is catch and release though. That excursion fills up fast, so I recommend booking at the 60 day mark.

Good luck!
