So how would this be any different than going out for a dinner etc., and not taking the kids?

You are sharing your vacation?
I usually take my kids on our vacation.
I guess that makes the difference.![]()

I vote when the 16 year old has worked to afford the first class seat, then he can sit there. Until then, he can enjoy his bag of peanuts and can of Coke in coach and thank his lucky stars his parents can afford to take him to Hawaii.![]()

I. If I was going on a vacation with my children I probably wouldn't want to sit in first class while they sat in coach-seperate from me and DH. If I couldn't get us all in first class I'd probably have us all sitting in coach- but like I said... who knows. My thinking on that might change by the time I have 3 teens. LOL
(I did not answer the poll since my answer is not on it- my answer being that I wouldn't sit in first class while their seats were in coach)

Kids need to eventually learn that they are not automatically entitled to the same priveleges as adults. It would have been nice if you'd had the extra miles to spare, but there is a huge difference between a first class and a coach seat when it comes to FF miles. I say have a drink and toast to your sons' health while you're sitting up there too!![]()
