Flowers and Star Wars and Harry, oh my! TR started, link inside!

The underwater shots look great. I haven't been able to test mine out in the water yet. It was cool being able to take it out in the snowstorms and not worrying about getting it wet though. I can't wait until it gets a bit warmer and we can test the camera out in the pool at the Y.

I still have a x-mas Mickey train in my front yard. I was going to take it down Jan.1 but we had a snow storm right after xmas and it was frozen in the ground. Now we have so much snow you can't even see it. That thing will be out there until Easter!

I'll be taking it out in the snow today, if I get some good pictures I'll post them. Sadly a true underwater test will have to wait until we get to Disney. Typhoon Lagoon here we come!

I posted before I saw your updates. I cannot believe they would get their own kitchen sinks. All the stuff they put on there grosses me out, esp. when everything starts melthing together.

I can't wait to try a No Way Jose. Since we're not on the dining plan I made a huge envelope covered in food pictures to save money in to cover our foods cost. The No Way Jose picture is right on the top.

Love the free afternoon. :thumbsup2

I really hope they don't get two kitchen sinks. They were talking about it but it is quite possible they were trying to get a reaction out of Mom and I.

The kitchen sink looks disgustingly irresistable and I gotta try a No Way Jose. One of these days I will get up the courage to try a kitchen sink.

I tried to help Alek out with the kitchen sink last time but it was too much for me. I am an ice cream wimp.

Snow Day 2011

In a rare occurrence classes and clinical placement were cancelled today in anticipation of a massive snow storm. Well snow did arrive but it was not as bad as predicted. It just added a little bit to the mountains of snow we already had. Needless to say I enjoyed my unexpected day off. Here are some pictures we took with the new camera. Enjoy!

What is one to do when school gets canceled for a snow day? Start working on the tan, don't want to be pale as a ghost for vacation!

I never get snow days from work either, even if everything else shuts down which is very rare, I still have to work if I am on the schedule.

Maybe! We will in World Showcase. Italy is our usual spot for Illuminations.

Erich is CRAZY!!!!!

Yup they'll get their own kitchen sinks. They are nuts enough.

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

This is a Sunday night and as you know from our arrival night, we are Survivor fans. The Survivor finale is always on a Sunday. So if the season finale falls during our trip this would be the likely day.

Watching a Survivor finale while in Disney...doesn't get much better than that!! :thumbsup2

I can travel in cars okay, so long as I don't attempt to read, AT ALL. I could read just a little paragraph in a magazine and I feel sick for hours. Rides don't usually make me ill except for the tea cups.

This is EXACTLY like me. This is why I have never attempted Mission Space. The first year we were there DH rode it and was disappointed I didn't go on it. He tried to tell me it wasn't bad in an attempt to get me to go on it. Then later that day he was describing the ride and told me how there was a brief period of time he felt queasy. Well that answered it for me. Me on Mission Space = Bad idea! If it was enough to make him feel queasy (even just a bit) then it would have me barfing in no time...Yuck! Granted he rode the Orange and has not tried the Green--according to him the Green sides is for wusses!

funny snow pics!! And your brother is crazy! I wonder how long he stayed outside to catch the rays? I guess after your last picture he was off back into the house?? :lmao:

Lessa forgot to included this video, Erich was a bit WISER on this extremely HOT winters day. LOL

Yesterday morning 7:00 a.m. Kingston experienced Thunder Snow for about 1/2 hr, we had three bolts of lightening and thunder, for those who do not know, Thunder Snow is caused by strong updrafts in the atmosphere. I think this was a first for Kingston, it was exciting to see. It was cool to see in the safety of indoors, one of my co-workers was driving in and she slammed on her brakes and spun out when she heard the thunder. She did not think it was so cool, as she thought there as a accident.

:rotfl: I wish I got snow days too. Yesterday, I was at work at 7 a.m. there were two others like me that braved the weather, my boss the director started sending emails about work from HOME (Note, I work for a foundation that is the fund-raising arm for three area hospitals, so we get paid by the hospitals, and as such we do what the hospitals' directives are)

email 1) the hospitals are all opened and running.:cool1::thumbsup2:worship:: we all said "it good to know that our hospitals are open 24/7 365 days LOL"
email 2) -the hospital clinics are open today as well, and as such she cannot authorize a snow day. Sorry:mad:
email 3) - we have 4 options popcorn::
- if at work already, stay and get paid - oh how nice
- come in and get paid - Oh how nice
- work from home with approval from your supervisor and get paid ( many took this option)
- make up the time at a later date
- or take a personal day

I think it might be a mistake to limit yourself to underwater pictures only at Typhoon Lagoon. I can think of several other photo ops around the World.
-An underwater shot of the manatees in The Seas (some sort of pole or extending device may be necessary to get the right angle)
-The underside of water at the Jungle Cruise, not to be confused with the back side of water
-Submerged shots of the cheddar cheese soup at Le Cellier, completely revolutionizing food pictures everywhere :thumbsup2

I completely missed the underwater pics update! The fish tank pictures are awesome!

How can Erich possibly be smiling in those pics in the snow?!?! I am freezing just looking at him!

I definitely agree with you. Alek saw Erich's snow pictures and said despite that he is still more awesome and badass than Erich. Hoo boy. :rolleyes1

I think if we end up watching Survivor Alek will be bored out of his mind as I am pretty sure he doesn't watch anymore. The rest of us do so he will be overruled!

I think he was out there like that for less than a minute. I snapped the pictures and then he was off. He is a wee bit crazy.

What is wrong with your children? :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Sorry about no snow days,

I wonder the same thing, I blame their father:rotfl2::rotfl2:

I blame their sister! ;)

:mad::mad::mad:

I blame both my parents and my grandma. :snooty: We had to inherit the nutty gene from somewhere. Our cousins are almost as crazy so it must be genetic. Here is a video of what we do when hanging out with the cousins.

:lmao::rotfl2: If I see the alligator at CSR perhaps I should submerge the camera to get a full body shot! :scared1:

:lmao: Some people smile when they are in pain. :rolleyes1

The pics of Erich gave me the shivers!!

I couldn't imagine eating a whole Kitchen Sink. Agree with other posters that it makes me feel sick just thinking of that. but I definitely want to try it sometime ... with the rest of my family. I love a mish-mash of ice cream!

Nothing either of the Bros does surprises me !!:rotfl2:I can totally see them ordering their own Kitchen Sink!!!:scared1::rotfl2:
