I think it will be ok since I'll be with her. Once I get her moving in the morning she'll be with me and I won't be late anywhere if I can help it.

I've just never understood the late thing :confused3

I was never late to anything before Ryan. His family is notoriously late for EVERYTHING. They're awful. I remember the first time I went on vacation with them, to Cape Cod. They said to be over to their house at 8:30 to leave at 9:00. Sure thing. I get there at 8:25 and they are nowhere near packed and ready to go. I think we finally left closer to 11:30. Christmas dinner is always late too, his mother will say come at 3:00 so we can have soup at 4:00 and dinner at 5:00. Try soup at 6:30 and dinner more like 8:00. In the meantime we rushed out of spending time with my family to be there. No more.

An occasional late is one thing however the whole family know if his cousin makes it to any event its hours after it started and thats if they can even get there.

For good sakes there are only 3 of them. 2 adults (I use the term loosely) and 1 5 yr old child. Oh and neither of them work. I have no idea how they will get that poor kid to school on time once she starts real school.

I don't understand that? Assuming she is a normal five year old what's the deal? Most five year olds can get themselves dressed if you set the clothes out. It's not like they have babies or anything. I hope they get it together for the kid. Would they be the sort who are like "you missed the school bus, oh well, no school then"? and how do people get by where neither one works? I just don't understand that one

That is funny, and the need for a nap justifies it.

I'd rather be 40 minutes late than go with miserable kids any time.

Yes Kelly is the one that works at HD. Her Tara and I are all pretty close. Kelly has her trip booked but Tara is still up in the air. Her dad just passed away so she's not sure about a lot of stuff.. I had orginatley started out going with tara and kelly then I met all you guys so now I plan on having one heck of a weekend..
Cool! Should be lots of fun
Ok ladies time for me to get gone...have a great weekend :goodvibes
you too :goodvibes

Its more like she is probably helping them get ready. I dont think they will her miss school but I think she will be tardy a lot.

I doubt it. Ours has a long and stupid story.

that you will fill us newbies in on poolside in November ;)

I have to go pick the big girls up from camp, and then back here to finish packing and then off to my mom's house to swim. I will drop the two that aren't mine off at their house around 6:00, Kayleigh is staying at my mom's for the weekend and then the twins and I have to go to Walmart and buy some boring but necessary stuff. I hate to go to WM on a Friday night but we didn't make it yesterday due to the storms and now I have to go. Stupid stuff that we need like wipes, tampons, cat litter. Can't really put that off. I hope everyone has a nice night and a nice weekend if I don't talk to you again tonight :)

that's really pathetic that a five year old has a better grasp on reality than her parents. at the risk of sounding really mean, is something wrong with them?

Here's my embarrassing story of the day.

I got up early, got dressed in a white tee shirt & blue capris. Went to put my contacts in & noticed the shirt had a stain, so I went down to the basement (haven't bought the clean laundry up yet) & got a blue tee shirt that has flowers embroided on it. It's also one of those shirt that doesn't have a tag at the neck (that will become important later). I take the dirty shirt off, put the new one on. Leave the house at 5:15, walk to the train station, wait 10 minutes for the train, get on the train. Listen to my walkman, read my book, look out the window. We're about to pull into Penn Station when the lady sitting next to me says something. I can't hear her because of the walkman, take it off, say "what?". She points to the tag on my shirt (which is on a seam, almost at the bottom of the shirt) & tells me I have my shirt on inside out! Thank goodness almost no-one's in the office when I arrive & I pass the bathroom on my way to my desk! :rotfl: And as I was walking off the train & walking down the block (about 7 minutes total), I was sure everyone was laughing at me.

Funny story, Missy :)

I've seen kids wear the shirt inside out. Just tell everyone you were being stylish. :thumbsup2

Hey Missy you should of told her its the fad where has she been.. :rotfl2: My ds10 does it all the time.. :lmao:

Some kids burnt their hands/fingers. Not like that's been happening for years.

Yhey use to have big light bulbs in them that would easily burn the hand.

The detail on this is that some kids were getting their hands stuck in the door and getting serious burns.

Someone tell me why it's so fascinating to bake over a lightbulb.

I never liked anything that I cooked with my lightbulbs. :confused3
