I'm the opposite, I would much rather do laundry than cook - vacation or not. Cooking requires clean up

that's true. When you go to Lake George do you guys eat out every day or do you grill? When I used to go to the Outer Banks with my brother & his family, we'd eat out a day, grill a day, eat out again....it was great.

I don't mind cooking or baking. But I do hate the clean up. And I really wish my kitchen layout was different. It just doesn't seem to have the counter space I want or need.

We barbequed one night with another family. They ate at the cabin more.
Each cabin has it's own barbeque, ours never got used.

DH would barbeque every night. He loves camping and stuff just for that reason.
