DH and DD are in Mount Dora about 40 minutes away from Dis and I am hopfully going to be there full time in September. I would love to see everyone.

Anne it is so nice of you to offer to host a get together at your home.

I am game for a meet anywhere. Thank you for your suggestion of meeting in Clermont at your home! That is fine with me. Now what day and time is convenient for everyone? The weekend we were originally talking about is THIS weekend, is that too soon for everyone now? If we don't do this weekend, I will not be available again until the weekend of Sept. 17 & 18. Which is fine if that works out to be best.

Look forward to meeting everyone, let's nail down a date/time!

I'm wide open this weekend, the next two weekends won't be good for me, I've got photography assignments on 9/3 and 9/10...shooting ?? on 9/3, my editor hasn't told me which show I"m headed to yet, and on 9/10 it's 3 Doors Down, Staind, Breaking Benjamin, and No Address in Atlanta--WOOT!

We are up for a meet, but the next few weeks won't be too good for us. We are finally closing on our new house on Sept 1 so right now we are getting ready to move. We plan to spend most of Sept moving boxes and getting the house set up. Plus we have 3 different friends and their families coming in to WDW during Sept, so most of our moving breaks will be in the parks.

That said, I'd love to do a meet outside the parks at some point, either at Anne's house (thanks, Anne) or maybe someplace we could get some kind of refreshments. I'll keep checking in to see if someone wants to set a date and time. DH and I will do our best to be there.

Since this weekend is quickly approaching, perhaps it would be better to reschedule this meet until mid-September? Why don't we take a vote of where and when and then we can go from there....

We have the option of meeting at Anne's house in Clermont (please let us know what is convenient for you Anne)

or

We can meet at a restaurant somewhere and have a snack/drink etc. I don't think there are going to be any more than about 10 of us at most.

The first weekend that comes to mind is Sept. 17/18 or Sept. 24/25. Everyone who is interested, please let us know what location you prefer and which weekend.

Why doesn't everyone who is interested in attending post their preference of the following...

1. Will Saturday the 24th or Sunday the 25th work better?
2. Afternoon or evening?

Well, it looks as though I have a tentative list of approximately 7 people including me. Although I haven't counted if anyone is going to bring anyone.
Most votes were for Saturday, Sept. 24th so lets go with that. It looks as though it was a close vote between meeting in Clermont or meeting at a restaurant. I guess I will make the decision of meeting in a restaurant the first time. This way, we can all relax without one or two people having to run around and "entertain" us. Now the question is... what kind of restaurant and which location.

What does everyone think of the Winter Park area? Wouldn't be too bad of a drive for those north of Orlando or West of Orlando. Highway 17-92 has an Olive Garden if that will work for everyone? I was thinking an early dinner around 4pm or so? This Olive Garden is easy to find and easy to get to.

I recently relocated to Central Florida (Casselberry) in March. Before that I lived in Orange Park, FL for 6 months. I moved to Florida in Sept. of 2004 from upstate New York.

Feeling a little lonely down here in this big state and thought I'd say hello to all you resident Floridians.
