Florida weather...how predictable?

I've been watching the online 10 day forecasts for Orlando and I'm wondering how accurate these are or does weather in FL change in minutes like it does here in IN? The temps look great for our trip, but they are showing a chance of thunderstorms on Friday (the day we have our family pictures done at the ocean :sad2: ) and also for Halloween. I'm really hoping it clears up and we have nice sunny days. I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

Florida weather tends to follow the weather man pretty well, BUT when it comes to thunderstorms it can be raining at your house and not across the street. When they say "scattered storms" they are not kidding. Epcot can be having the worst storm of the year and MK can be sunny and never see a drop. This time of year I would not worry to much. The "thunderstorms" they predict are nothing like a summer storm the come and go quickly, if they come to where you are at all. I would not stress over it too much.

Have a great trip!

No kidding, they said we broke a record today. I haven't even been outside yet, but when I woke up this morning I had to turn the heat on in the house cause it was 68...IN THE HOUSE.... I love this kind of weather, it is very welcomed, but this will be my son's first experience with colder weather and I am sure I am going to be the nerotic mother making sure he is warm enough :rotfl:

It's snowing here in Indiana! It was 38 degrees when I took the kids to school this morning This is very early for us and I'm sure it will melt, but you can bet I've been rubbing it in to all of my friends that tomorrow I will be in sunny Florida ;) 68 is sounding VERY nice to me.

Thanks for the information on the weather. I can deal with a little rain on our trip, I just don't want a down pour on the day of our pictures :)

I've been watching the Orlando weather even though we're not going until December. It looks like the high temp. dropped over 20 degrees in one day. According to my paper, it was something like 91 one day and 68 the next. As long as it's not pouring rain, it sounds like nice park weather since I hate being hot. In fact, this is my least favorite time of year in California! October usually ranges from warm to hot. I'm tired of warm weather and am ready to get out my fall and winter clothes. It's not like our winters are very cold, but I'm a knitter and want to wear the new sweaters I knitted over the spring and summer!

Hopefully all of you going on your trips soon will have great weather! :)
