While I agree she isnt hard on the eyes - the law is the law. And I dont care hot my son's teacher is, if she was "getting busy" with him, I'd be disgusted, angry and royally ticked off.

You send your kids to school for a reason, and Im pretty sure losing their virginity to a teacher (mentor, guidance, role-model) isnt one of them.

I trust the teachers (male or female) arent doing things they are WELL AWARE are not only illegally, but also morally wrong.

Honestly, it makes me feel even creepier about her to know that for whatever reason, she needed to go cruising amongst the 7th grade PE class. There just has to be something seriously wrong with the lady.

Then the Judge had the audacity to say she was a victim - it makes me sick.

Here too she was considered "pretty".

vettechick, as you are an educator, I'm a little surprised about your stance. my dh was molested from 11-13 and yes it was molestation. Granted, he was molested by a priest, but it would be just as wrong if it was a woman who did it - IT'S STILL WRONG! This double standard makes me want to vomit.

I certainly don't want to demeane one or the other, but I would think, being molested by a priest would carry a bit more emtional damage than having consentual sex with a 25 year old, beautiful woman.

Another fine reason, to stay put and only *visit* Florida - not move there.

Please. This is absurd. It is best to never judge a situation unless you have a detailed knowledge of the facts and applicable law, That said. we'd rather not have new residents that are prone to such overarching judgments

Agree totally. Pretty sure I (& my reputation) could survive quite well after being with the good looking teacher. Being molested (don't even want to go there mentally!) by a priest would, no doubt, mess me up for life. Seriously, most red blooded American guys dream of being with a beautiful teacher---it's the thing dreams are made of!!!!!!!!!!!!!

She was represented by argaubly the best criminal defense attorney in town that never takes a case with less $200,000 in fees. I wonder where she got that kind of oney. Knowing only what I know from the newspaper, he did not appear to be having that much positive effct, though today's sentence suggests otherwise.

As to whether the boy would be scarred, of course he would.

She wanted to be with him so much that she ran away from her parents a couple of times to get to him. Last I heard, she plans to marry him someday.

Talk about needing a reality check. What part of the world do you live in? Do you honestly think this is a "Florida thing?" Are you honestly that oblivious to what goes on in the rest of the US?

Of course she could. I can't speak as a female though, as I am not one. In either case, the offender is wrong and should get prison time.
