Hello everyone! We are planning another trip to the world in September. My question to you is this.....Do they have lovebugs? We live in Southest Louisiana and the lovebugs here are horrible in September. We are going to be there Sept. 18-23. Any clue about this? Do they have them everywhere, insight please from those of you who live close to Orlando!!!

yes they do have them but I really don't remember them being as bad as we have them. this isn't much help but at least you know they do have them.

LOL! Thanks. Maybe they won't be bad or since we are going later in the month maybe they will starting to go away. I sure hate those things.....I can just imagine trying to ride test track or everest with love bugs the way they are here....SPLAT!! No Thank You! LOL Thanks for the reply!

We definitely have them. How bad they are depends on where you are and the particular conditions of the day. Last year, they seemed to be in swarms. I remember one day, while I was at DTD, they were everywhere. That same day, folks were saying that they only saw a few at the parks.

One day I was mowing my yard. I considered putting a mask over my mouth and nose because they were so thick.

Feralpeg has it right. They really can vary from season to season, year to year, day to day! At least they don't bite or sting, and are just an annoying nuisance. I really hate having to clean the "guts" off my car every day during love bug season though! Ugh!

We were at WDW that week last year (well, almost, we were there like the 19th to Oct1) and some days those bugs were really annyoing and there were tons of them, and other days we never even noticed them.

I was a bit freaked out by them at first because until that trip, I had NEVER seen the lovebugs before. Honestly, they were annoying but not as bad as some of the black flies and things we are used to in Vermont (those BITE).
Didn't seem like that much of a huge deal to us.
