My parents spend 2 months in Florida every year. Are there any special passes for these snowbirds? I would assume they don't qualify for Florida Resident, because they have NYS drivers licenses...

I've told both my kids that when they turn 13 we'll take a trip alone with Mom and/or Dad....No little sister or big brother present.

I've got a year to go for DS....But I thought maybe my Mom and Dad would like to drive over and join us for a couple of days.

What are my ticket options, for my parents? I know that we can buy the 1day/1 park, but when you're used to hopping :Pinkbounc :bounce: it's hard to not! Can you get a UPH if you stay at the Swan/Dolphin or do you have to stay at a disney resort?

DS and I will probably get 4 day hoppers.

TIA:sunny:

For the Florida Residents' passes (annual or seasonal) you need to have an official Florida ID with address, either a DL or an ID card. If they have an address that they are authorised to use on an ongoing basis (timeshare?) then they might be able to get a FL DL or ID. Otherwise, I'm afraid, they're out of luck with that.

Good luck,

Kris

Your parents can get a Flordia only license. Only Florida and Arizona do this for the high amount of snowbirds and others that come down for month vacations.

I have one myself, all you have to do is go to the DMV with the address where they stay when they come. They don't question the address. You just tell them you info, give them money, and take a picture. I think it's valid for 7 years in the state of Florida.

I was able to buy my Florida annual pass no problem, and you can even sign up for The disney dinning card. But you do need a florida address

And a warning, get to the DMV early, We had a line waiting outside for the place to open that look like splash mountain in july.

If you are going to the DMV make an appointment!!!! The lines can be hours long. It took several weeks before I could get an appointment.

They might not question the address, but presumably they do mail the license to that address, correct?

But you have to prove where you live at the DMV power bill or some other proof.
