My husband is a Florida Resident (military). We were wanting to purchase 4 day park hopper tickets for July. I know the military rates, but would we do better buying his ticket for a FL resident?
Or are those resident tickets only for annual passes?

Hmmm. Good question. Are they still offering specials to Military personnel? I didn't see a 4-day "Florida Resident" hopper in the price list. You may be able to use a Florida resident "seasonal pass", depending on when you're going (check the blackout dates). Since I don't know the military rates, I really can't compare. You can go to http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/tickets.htm to see all the prices and descriptions.

HTH!

Hi,
Try this link and see which is better for you.

It looks like the Military rate will probably be the best for us, since we are going in Peak Season. I don't think they offer a park hopper type pass for FL residents in peak season.....

Thanks!

If YOU are not a FL resident, you will not be able to get a FL resident ticket. That may be something to consider.

Military personnel stationed in FL with appropriate ID so indicating can purchase FL resident tickets at Disney. They can also purchase them for their immediate family.

We are NOT stationed in Florida, we are in Oklahoma. However, my husband is a Florida resident (he has a FL license, registers his car there, etc.) I am not a resident, and I will purchase a 4 day park hopper at the military rate. However, I was hoping for his ticket, we might be able to save a few bucks. Does anyone know for sure? I know abou the annual passes, but is there something that would work for us? (we want to be able to park hop 4 days)

Thanks!

If you are going to WDW during July then the 4-day Hopper pass at the military rate is your best bet. There is no Florida resident discount on the hopper passes, just the Florida Resident Seasonal and Florida Resident Annual passes. Florida Resident Seasonal are less expensive than regular four-day hoppers but July is in the black-out period. I'm sure the Florida Resident Annual Passes are more than the military rate for the four days.

Occasionally Disney offers Play-4-Days passes for Florida residents for $109 but they're usually in the Spring or Fall.

we just went this past march and are fla residents so we bought the fla resident 4 day hopper passes. it was 116.00 (with tax) for a 4 day hopper. i believe that they expired june 4th though

There are no FL resident hoppers, only AP's.

BUT....you can buy regular hoppers (any standard length) at Shades of Green, the military hotel on Disney property, at discounted rates....like buying them at ITT (or whatever your service calls their Information, Travel, and Tickets office). You can also get UPH (Ultimate Park Hoppers)....the former "length of stay" pass that is for the number of days you are staying....you can also purchase those at Shades of Green, even if you're not staying there....They call those their "Stars and Stripes" passes. You can only purchase tickets in person at Shades of Green, not over the phone, as they MUST see a valid ID for purchase. And you can buy them for everyone in your party. There is a small discount PLUS there is NO tax, so it's worth the extra stop :)

Hope that helps!

Please ask if you need further info! And have a great time!!
Katie

WDW occasionally offers Florida residents 4-day "Fun in the Sun" passes. I think they're currently offering them, but I don't know if they'd extend to your dates. Otherwise, there are no Florida resident discounts on hoppers for a specific number of days, only for Annual or Seasonal passes. Check out www.mousesavers.com to get the exact dates on the Florida Resident 4-day passes currently being offered. If they don't work for your dates, you can get the regular military discount through your MWR or Shades of Green. Depending on when you're going, you may be able to get him a Florida Resident Seasonal pass with the Shades of Green discount for a price comparable to a park hopper. Last time I checked, adult FL seasonal passes were around $186 through SOG.
