Can anyone tell me where I can find the price of a 5 MYW ticket with a park hopper option (that expires after 14 days) for a Florida resident? I found a site that told me a Florida resident could purchase a "seasonal" pass for $211.94 which seems like a good deal to me, but I would like to be able to compare the price of a 5 day hopper with this. My SIL, who lives in Jacksonville, but NEVER goes to WDW, is going with me this fall and I am trying to find out the information for her. Thanks for any information!!

We have always found that the seasonal pass is the cheapest pass to get for park hopping. The 5 day MYW ticket for Florida residents is 234.30--this is the park hopper option that expires in 14 days. You can find the ticket prices on this site, if you go to the main page. Sorry, I don't know how to link! You can also get them on the main Disney site and on allearsnet.com. The advantage to the seasonal pass is that it is good for a year, with some blackout dates, so you can go back without having to buy a new pass.

Princessmom2: Have you ever gotten a AAA discount on a seasonal pass for Florida residents? Do you have any idea what the cost would be with the AAA rate? Sorry to ask so many questions, but when I go to the AAA page I get lost and can't find the info. Thanks so much for your help!!!

Princessmom2, do you know if buying the florida resident seasonal pass entitles you to AP room only discounts?? Are they the same as any other AP room only discount? Thanks.

The FL resident seasonal pass is the best deal! We always were offered the AP rates and discounts that apply to AP holders (resorts, restaurants, shops). The only benefit seasonal passholders do not get is parking. We stay at a WDW resort and parking at the parks is free anyway.
Here is a list of the benefits:

We had the SP's last year, and will be getting new ones soon as DH will be home! Plan to start going again in the fall, after blackout ends. Oh, I have not heard of AAA discounts for any AP's, but DH (a reservist) can get ours with military discount and no tax at SOG or MWR.

Thanks for the great info on the seasonal pass, that link answered almost all of my questions, just one more: and this may need to be a new thread - I've read that some people are booking the MYW pkg with free dining and getting only a one day pass, because they already have tickets or APs, then instead of activating the 1day pass they turn it in when its time to renew/purchase their AP. Does anyone know if that will work for the Florida Play/Dine 3 day deal??? It looks like that 3day "play" pass for FL residents, with park hopping should be worth about $164, for only $50 more you could upgrade to the seasonal pass???

I just bought our new seasonal passes from AAA in April. There was a $7 discount per ticket. The salesperson said that Disney is not giving them very many good deals anymore. HTH

Thanks to everyone for all the excellent information!! Don't think I've ever found people who are so eager share like the folks on the Disboards - must be the pixie dust!

Excellent question, I would like to know the answer too. Seems you could since you can upgrade the 3 day pass to a Seasonal or AP. When they first came out with the recent 3-day pass in Jan. I was going to buy it until I found out it didn't include park hopping(gotta have my park hopping) but I have upgraded my DD19 pass in the past to a SP. It was done at the park's Guest Services.

You also asked about AP rates for Seasonal Pass Holders. yes, you can get AP rates but you should always go with FL resident rates. I've never had a problem getting FL res. rates. Alot of the time I call the day before we leave to book. Jan 3, got FL res rate while driving there. Called March 12th for Mar 13-17 at WL for $139 a night. I think FL res. rates are more plentiful compared to AP rates. or maybe less Floridians know about them.
