I am thinking a very short trip is needed.....just have to call in sick to work. :rolleyes2

Does this mean attendance is not as high as predicted? I noticed when I did a quick check of availability at WL that all levels of rooms are still available for next week. Quite different from when we stayed at AKL at the end of May, and the entire resort was completely booked!

Well allot of schools here in Florida start back in the first couple of weeks of August.

Normally Disney sends an email to its passholders (if you sign up for updates) to inform you of a date change. One year they lifted the blackout for AK only. I haven't gotten an email on this, I went on the offical site & cannot find it stated anywhere. I tried to call the regular number but the hold wait was too long. I called the passholder line & the wait agian was too long. I am not saying that it isn't true about the blackout being lifted, but I need more offical confirmation to believe it. That is just me, so please don't take it personally that I don't believe the OP. I hope it is true. I am going to Orlando next week for a few days before school starts up. I planned on doing some shopping & Universal (since I have an annual pass there & only seasonal at Disney). If the backouts were lifted, I would love to go to the MK one last time before school starts up :flower: I will keep trying to call.... if worse comes to worse, while up there, I can stop at DTD to see... thank you to the OP for this heads up

Bummer! We just booked our trip for 8/20. That was the only week we had after the passes were valid and the kids went back to school! We have 2 days from when we return till school starts. Wish we had know, we could have gone earlier. Oh well, the crowds will probably be better that week anyway.

Just wanted to thank you for posting....Just called and booked Animal Kingdom Lodge for $138. for a trip Aug 11-14. We are taking our first cruise and arriving back on the 11th.

I wanted to spend the next few days at WDW with friends we will be crusing with from Italy, but with no park tickets had decided just to say farwell at the dock.

Now we will be able to extend our trip. :bounce:

Thank you,

I saw this yesterday and told DH...he is supposed to play in a softball tournament in Winter Haven tomorrow...much closer to Disney than Sarasota, so he said to bring extra clothes we may have to go over there....now if I can get a reservation for dinner somewhere I will be estatic! Choices...choices....:0
I am on hold with the Passholder line now....plan on asking about the new ADR policy as well...

"Zip a Dee Doo Dah" is playing.....I am talking with a CM...the block is lifted!

Okay, I called the pass line and got transferred to WDW Travel and then to the main switchboard and again asked if the restriction had been lifted and was told,"No. We are too busy at this time due to the HCOE to do that." So my question for those of you who called the pass line and got through to a real person, how exactly did you speak to someone to confirm it?

I called the Disney pass line again just minutes ago again just to make sure. I pressed 2 and it asked me for reservation # I didnt enter anything. THen it asked me for phone # I put it in and then it asked if I had been there once since such and such year I pressed one for yes then it asked if I had been 4 or more times I again pushed yes and a operator picked up right away. I asked her if she could confirm that the seasonal passholder dates had been lifeted. She said she didnt think so but give her a second and she would look it up. She came back shortly and said yes they where lifted as of the 22 of July. And goes until 22 of Dec. I told her I had heard the rumor and she said well this is straight from the horses mouth and she was surprised herself and would be letting her friends know.

I'm glad some others confirmed this. But I understand, you just have to hear it for yourself sometimes. I noticed at the bottom of the page, when your reading the thread, there's a list of similar threads and one of them is a thread I started on April Fool's Day. That was a joke, I was serious about this. Just incase that influenced anyone. I was just happy at the news and wanted to post it. I'm thankful it helped some others take advantage of the extra days given us to enjoy their passes too. Your welcome to all those who thanked me, even though I had nothing to do with it. :teeth:

Tiz I want to thank you very much for doing so. Let them not know thats one less person in the park for me. We are now going in 3 weeks doing a Water Park visit and probably some feasting at Epcot.

Once again Thank you and forget the rest.

Ok, I am the doubting Sharon ;) I finally got thru on the passholder line & it took the CM (who was very very nice) about 5+ minutes or so to find it & confirm it. At first she couldn't find it either. It still isn't showing up on the offical web site & I never did get the email like the last time they did this.
This is to the OP of this thread: :cool1: Thank you again for your heads up :cool1: sorry I doubted you :flower:

I confirmed it with the AP phone #. :sunny: I know where I'm heading.... :earsboy:
