Florida Resident Rate, When and How????

Hello all,

I'm wondering when the Florida resident discounts are announced (if there are any)? Also how do I find out if there is one available? And if there is one available, how do I take advantage of it? My cruise is paid in full so do I get a rebate check sent to me or is the difference put on an onboard credit?

Any help would be great!!!!

When are you cruising? Florida resident rates have been out quite a while for September. No other ones have been announced. The easiest way to check for me is on www.allseastravel.com. The cruises are filling up much more now and the discounts have been during times that children are in school. Usually January,maybe the first week of Feb, no time during Spring Break, usually beginning May but not past about the mid mark. This is based on last year. In previous years, we always got Florida resident rates during holiday times- always Memorial Day, July 4th!, Labor Day and once in October during the week Florida is out for Teacher Conference Days. Not so anymore!

We are cruising November 12, 2005 on the 7 night eastern Magic cruise. I looked at allseastravel.com and couldn't find anything on Florida resident rates. Should I just call my travel agent (sams club)or DCL direct to find out???

Any help would be awesome, thanks in advance.

they have not announced any dates past September yet. I don't recall there being ones offered on the Nov cruises...but then I have not cruised in Nov so never on the lookout!

As I stated before, Florida resident rates are becoming scarce. You just need to check the above website periodically to see if any come out. If you book with DU or Allseas, I believe that they automatically credit you with a discount if you are eligable. That is my main reason with booking through DU. My first cruise we booked through DCL and missed Fl res rates because you have to call them and know the exact code to get it applied to your rate.
