Florida Resident Question..

Two questions actually....
What is required to purchase a Florida Resident Annual Pass?
and
Are there black-out dates applied to that pass?
Thank you for your help..........and thank you for answering my questions about Vistana a few weeks ago. I couldn't thank you then as our computer crashed and is just back in business.
I tried to search for this information and got a message that the "search" part had been dismantled or something. Did I do something wrong on my part or is there another way to look things up now.
As you can tell - I'm computer brainless............sorry!

You'd need one of the following:

Florida driver's license
Florida state photo ID card
Student ID from a Florida college/university
Military ID showing that you're stationed at a base in Florida
Florida voter registration card along with matching photo ID
Utility bill with your name and Florida address along with a matching photo ID

Barbara - To answer the second part of your question...

The Florida Resident Annual Passport has no blackout dates. It is the same as an annual pass you can buy in Texas. It is cheaper, and it allows free parking.

The Florida Resident Seasonal Passport has blackout dates. As an example - "Block out dates" for 2003 were:

Dec 21,2002 to Jan 4, 2003.
April 12,2003 to April 24,2003
June 7,2003 to August 14,2003
Dec 20,2003 to Jan 3,2004

It is much cheaper and does not include free parking at any of the parks. You still get the passholder discounts and benefits though. Hope this helps answer your question!

Thank you for your help.......the information is just what we needed. We are retired and will be spending the winter in Florida from now on. Everything is so "budgeted" right now...and I hated to give up on the one thing in Florida that I love. I spend my days at Disney, eat, and stuff like that. I really don't ride the "rides" - I watch the shows and just love watching the families. It's such a happy place. My hubby doesn't go.......he loves to golf........so I'm usually just wandering around by myself. Up until this year, I've purchased an annual pass...but now that we'll be spending a good part of the winter year in Florida...I thought I'd look into other options. I hope I don't sound like a "whiny" bug...........now a days - every little bit counts.

Here's info about the FL Resident Disney Dining Experience, if you go often & use mostly sit-down table service restaurants, this is a big money saver. You really have to do the math to see if it's worth the initial cost, it is for me!
