We will be coming in September. I have not made my reservation yet because I am waiting for Free Dining to be announced. My cousin may be joining us, and she is a Florida resident. I know there are sometimes special deals for Florida residents - do we all need to live in Florida to take advantage of those deals, if she is staying with us?

Do Florida residents get discounts over and above the Free Dining? That, honestly, seems like the best deal.

FL resident passes can only be used by adults with a FL id. FL resident discount on hotels can be used by anyone in a room with a FL resident (that person needs to check in with the FL id) and the room address needs to be in there room (so all the Disney paperwork and stuff goes to them). Normally it is not more than 30%. FL residents can also get the TIW card for $125 and up to ten people who eat with them can get the discount as well as long as the TIW holder pays for the meals at the restuarant.

Depending on the resort and room type some Deluxe's can get 35% knocked off. Had that last fall. No tricking Disney that your not a FL resident either like people would do in the 80's 90's by having tickets mailed to a FL zip code or something. They want to see ID for everything from everyone.
