I am a new convert to the darkside :thumbsup2 Loved loved LOVED our trip to US / IOA in February. We are planning our second trip May 31st to June 4th. I am soooo very happy that living in GA, we can get the FL residents discount, but DH who apparently wanted to make it a family affair came right over to the darkside with me :teeth:, suggested that maybe we get the AP's since we want to go back in October for HHN and maybe squeeze in another trip at some point.

Is there any advantage to booking one discount over the other initially. The rates for the dates we want to go at HRH are identical for both discounts. AAA, which I also have is MUCH higher.

I am uncertain what Loews policy is, but I have not ordered the AP's yet, but could I reserve a room online without one in hand? Or should I stick with Florida resident rate until I purchase the AP's in a few weeks? I know if I asked this question on another board or two, I would most certainly go up in :furious: So, be gentle ;)

Thanks for the info!

Denise

The last few times I've checked the APH rate was equal to the FLO rate. Historically the APH rate has been the best. Last October we booked with APH and the hotels ended up giving us hurricane rates because we evac'ed. Those rates were as low as we have ever gotten. Once the FAN (Fan Club) rate was $5 cheaper than APH and the Loew's operator was even surprized.

We went this past Dec & the difference was $10 a night cheaper with the AP rate vs the FL resident rate. We got the PBH for $149 with the AP rate vs $159 for Fl residents.
