Florida Resident Annual Pass

My sister is buying a condo at Celebrations. She would like info on how to buy, or if she can buy a Florida Resident Annual Pass. Her primary residence will still be in NY, so therefore they will have NY drivers license.

If she can buy a Florida Resident Pass what would she need to buy it.

If she will be a part time resident of Florida, I think she needs to be able to produce something with her name and Florida address on it, like a utility bill. I think part time residents can get a Florida drivers license without surrendering their out of state license. Only good while driving in Florida.

She should have no problem getting the discounted passes for her and her immediate family living in the same household.

She doesnt have to change her drivers license. All she has to do is get a state id and she will be fine.

In case you were not aware, FL residents have an added option which is a seasonal pass which blacks out the most popular (read crowded) times of the year.

You can go to any drivers license office and get either a FL resident ID or a DL valid only in FL. Both DW and I are doing this on Friday (got to get the FL resident AP's). You do not need to turn in your out of state DL.

It is best to schedule an appointment at the DL office as they are usually quite busy and walk ins are not usually done until the end of the day.

ID's are around $10.00 and FL only DL's are $20.00.

We are opting for DL's because of conflicting reports on what Disney will accept (Based on Deb's site). We know that Disney will always accept the DL.
