Prior to this trip, I was looking to experiment with new/different tours - so, I signed up for the floral arrangement class. I didn't know exactly what to expect - how much I would learn, etc. I probably could/should have searched on Disboards - surely someone, somewhere, had already written a concise review, but it didn't occur to me at the time.
Anyway, here are some pictures:
This is my completed arrangement, while still in class. You can see the teacher in the background. She actually works in the florist department - one of the people who prepare the flowers for the Disney weddings, deliveries to resorts, etc. She comes with an assistant who efficiently hands out all of the materials that you will be using, including some plastic mickey "crystals" for dangling off the ribbon (she noted that some arrangements are ordered with real, Swarovski mickey crystals!!). The class was finished in about 1 hour (scheduled for 2, just in case)
There were about 12 women present - all of our arrangements turned out similar to this one.
Of course, I carried it around for 9 days, through 3 hotel changes, finally tossing the flowers and packing the purse-shaped flower pot for the plane ride home.
It held up well. When I got home and priced the materials to make another, I reflected that the price of the class was pretty reasonable, especially with the Disney Visa 20% discount.
