I'm looking for more information about the Bay Lake & Seven Seas Lagoon Floating Elecrtical Parade. How often do they have this? Do you have to be at the Polynesian Resort to see it? Has anyone been to it? Is it just decorated boats? And any other comments would be appreciated.

Thanks Deb for the link. There were some beautiful pictures on that page. I think I want to check it out. Has anyone else gone to this and what is your feedback?

It's funny that you ask. We stayed at the Polynesian last summer. It was really cool to be able to just go out to the beach and watch it. Once we were coming back from the MK later in the evening and had to stop and let it pass. Now, that was cool. But, we had friends who had stayed at the Polynesian also, several years before we did. We actually traveled to WDW with them 2 years ago. When we were talking about the water parade, the other mom said.."Oh man. What a rip-off that was. It was no big deal. To think that we waited 30 minutes to see that." Different strokes for different folks I guess. We really enjoy it. In fact, I did video tape it and it's one of the things we like to watch over and over. Guess we're just easily amused!!

No charge ... it's usually nightly depending on the weather. It's really neat. My DW and I have stayed at WL a few times and love going to the "beach" area and watching the parade "float" by. Hopefully, it will be really dark, because then it looks like lights literally floating along. Then the reflections on the water, especially when it ripples, is fascinating.

I've seen it several times and always enjoy it.

We like to have dinner at the 1900 Park Fare and then go out to the back of the GF to watch the "Boat Parade." We really enjoy it. ::yes::

It's not Spectromagic, but it IS Disney! :)

We are just back from WDW. It does run every night and I believe stops at each of the resorts on the Seven Seas Lagoon and Bay Lake and runs through it's program.

It is basically several barges linked together with electric light shapes on each. They also have music playing at the resort beach. First it lights up the first barge with a dragon/snake and then lights up one at a time after that until they are all lit. They all have some "movement" to them as well. Then the entire group changes to American flags with stars in between. It is really nice to see, but if you don't happen to catch it I don't feel its a big deal ... certainly nothing like Spectromagic.

I believe it is out on the lake(s) for an hour or more and can be viewed from several locations (Poly, Ft. Wilderness, MK boat docks, etc.) during its route each evening. It is free and is very nice but if you don't catch it, don't feel like you've missed something major.

If I'm not mistaken, it began at the Poly right after the MK fireworks when we were there Sat, 4/3/04.

If you are staying in one of the lagoon resorts, and only have to step out on the beach to see it, I would definately check it out. Otherwise, I'd skip it. I schlepped my DW and DD over to the Polynesian to see it last time we were in The World, and I was abused for days after that. They couldn't get over how I had made such a big deal out of such a crappy little show. Only thing the Uog has steered me wrong about so far.

I'm looking forward to seeing it for the first time next week when we stay at the Grand Floridian.

We've only ever seen it by accident when staying in the nearby resorts. I can't imagine ever actually setting time aside to wait for it, but it's cute as anything and a terrific little surprise when you're not expecting it.

We love the Electric Water Pagent. We always try to catch it when we are in Disney. We always eat at least once at 'Ohanas in the evening and always try to finish in time to walk down to the beach to catch this. The past few time was have been luck enough to watch Wishes while having desert and then catch the water pagent after. We have been doing this since 1997 and really enjoy it. This past year we took my parents who have not been to Disney in over 20 years and have never seen this parade. They enjoyed it also and my mom really like the stars and stripes at the end. Hope you enjoy it also.

I absolutly can't believe that someone here (remain nameless) called this "a crappy little show." I have experienced this parade since I started going to WDW when I was 5 in 1976 and I couldn't imagine going to WDW and missing this parade.

We stay at the Poly and I love to sit on the beach and watch this now with my DD and she loves it too. Even if I didn't stay at a resort on the lagoon I would still take my DD to see it at least once during our stay.

Please don't be so offensive when describing things because it may really strike a nerve with some people that believe that something like this parade is a staple in their family vacations. Remember one persons garbage is another mans treasure!!
