Hey,

We're all wearing ither flip flops or crocs. How do we handle riding the dangling coasters so we don't lose our shoes?

:)

I was able to ride all of the IOA Coasters with my Crocs on... my feet :)

Yea, unless you buy the crocs super big for your feet, they should stay on. I tested mine by doing the can-can in my room. didn't budge much at all! :rotfl:

I always wear flip flops. If there is a floor to the coaster I leave em on .
If not, feet dangling like Kraken for eg. Just nip to oposite side when you are getting on the ride, and leave them on the side with everyone else's, or in the shoe cages provided on some rides. When the ride finishes, they will be right where you left them as you climb off.

At Universal you sit on them. Leaving them will have you delay your ride as the attendant has to ask who belongs to the shoes.

You can't do that at Dueling Dragons...the loading and unloading areas are not in the same place.

I solved that problem and wore my trainers on the days I knew that there were coasters to ride :thumbsup2 :rotfl2:

Good to know-I'll practice sitting on my Teva Mushes. :rotfl2:

A 10 yr old girl in the Dueling Dragons line showed me the trick......you put them on your hands so that your thumb and forefinger are gripping the toe part of the sandal. Then just hold onto the hand grips of the ride.

A ride worker showed someone else the same trick later that day.

:)

Correct, sit on them or hold them. At Dragons, you get off at a different area where you get on.

It surprises me that people can't figure that out when they are literally standing on the platform, watching a train beind them unload.

I remember when I worked once at Dragons. I found some shoes next to the train and gave them back to the girl, saying she needs to hold them. I dispatch the train out and i see the shoes fly from the train. I stop the train, walk up, get the shoes, and tell her AGAIN that she needs to hold them. I dispatch the train again, and this time the train is outside the station, and I see the shoes go flying into the ride track!!

OK, now the shoes are forever lost, as we are NOT permitted onto the ride track during normal operation, for safety purposes. What an idiot girl.

For flip-flops try fastening them with the seatbelt. Hold the middles together and slide the fastener down through. Voila--have done this on many rides and it works.

Try this with a I-Pod or MP-3.I promise you wont lose it(DWnever does):thumbsup2

I feel stupid now.....that *has* got to be the definitive answer.
