We have our WDW holiday booked from May 1-10. We are staying at The Contemporary. We will be flying from Edmonton and I was wondering what or Who would be the least expensive to fly with. We have no problem leaving 1 or 2 days earlier and staying overnight somewhere.

Thanks

go look out of calgary
we just got a great deal I think
its making it worth us driving down from edmonton for it

Hi, we from St. Albert and head down to WDW/Orlando twice a year. Historically Northwest (now Delta) had been cheaper than either AC or WJ for us, but this upcoming May I got cheaper flights with United ($460 Canadian total return for one person).

What we like about flying out of Edmonton is clearing US customs here (as compared to either driving for 3 hours to get to Calgary, or flying to Calgary, getting our luggage and going through US customs there). Most of the US carriers don't have non-stop flights from Edmonton, but for us that's OK, as the stop-over allows us to get out of the cramped plane and stretch our legs and grab something to eat before getting back on the plane to Orlando. Personally I'd rather have 2 shorter flights than one long flight and get off the plane walking like Quasimodo for the next few hours.

A good website to compare airline fares are farecompare.com. You can then go to the individual airlines website to book your flight.

Continental had flights recently for 355 all in from Edmonton. I think it only went out until the end of March but I would monitor it and I suspect you will be able to get a similar deal for May.

WJ just recently had some good prices on their direct flight from Calgary, again I think only until the end of March for now (also I think their direct flight goes down to one day a week before May). It was under 400 all in.

I find that kayak.com gives you a good view of the best recent fairs found for different trips.
