Flights out of Ottawa, Ontario

This is my first post I too would like to know what a good price is. Look forward to hearing others response. Do you mind me asking who is offering that price? We are looking at fares leaving Ottawa for mid Aug. the best price I've seen so far is $370 from Continental. Last year we flew out of Ottawa to MCO and it was $410.00 each.

I've posted it before here, but for the benefit of those here that are new - there's big saving to be had if you don't mind driving a few hours into the US. You can sometimes get really low fares from Jetblue out of Syracuse and Allegiant out of Plattsburgh. I got round-trip taxes in tickets from Plattsburgh for $150/person taxes in last year. I just had to drive the 3 hours there (plus had to rent a car since they fly into Sanford instead of MCO)

I'd love to know if you are quoting a direct flight and what day of the week it is. Back in March I found nothing direct out of Ottawa so we drove to Montreal and got AirTransat direct for 400 each taxes in. I priced Syracurse and Plattsburgh and they were the same price as Montreal so we did Montreal.

Anything under 400 direct taxes in out of Ontario is a great deal considering taxes on these flights are about $255 each.

From what I see for beginning of August it looks like this is without taxes and more like $420 rt incl taxes.

We are also doing this in August. I wish we had done this in years previous! I am very happy with the price for a direct flight that departs early and returns late. More time in WDW! Do you have a park and fly hotel to recommend?

I find great value in being able to fly out of Ottawa. We paid a little more last time to fly from Ottawa rather than have to drive 3 hours (it was winter) and cross the border (the wait can be long). I'd pay $400.

It usually costs about half as much to fly from Syracuse vs Ottawa, unless you get a smokin' seat sale. Typically when I've priced out flights from Ottawa it comes in at $2200-2300 for the 4 of us. We've flown on Jetblue for as little as $800 return for all 4, taxes in.

We always go down the night before and stay at a hotel with a park and fly rate. We've stayed at BestWestern Airport Inn, Holiday Inn Express and Candlewood Inn. They all have shuttles and they are all fine for overnight. If you drive down you are going to have to pay for airport parking anyway, for another $50 or so you can stay overnight and not have to worry about getting stuck in a line at the border.

OP, if that price includes taxes it is a fantastic price!
