I always book my flights for pres week and all other holiday vac from NY at the 11 month mark because they historically never go down. Well not this year, I booked right at 11 months, paid 295/pp and last night I hear on the news that in order to raise business flight prices are being reduced. I go on the internet and sure enough my flight is $100 lower per person. I can't believe it. I call American and I get vouchers for future flights. I'm really aggravated but I guess all I can do is think of it as prepaying my next flight and now making sure I book another vacation within the required time.

Any way hope this helps someone else!:D

We flew down the week after Pres. week this year and may do the same next year, so as soon as the airline sites would take my dates, I started checking. We fly out of DTW and like a direct flight, right now they are running about 20.00 more per person than what we paid this year. ~:(~

We just booked 2 rt, non-stop flights, Pittsburgh to Orlando(MCO) for the week after Presidents week(Feb 21-27,2004) with US AIR for $195(taxes inc).
I booked these last week at the 330 day mark(earliest). The fares may drop a little before we fly, but whenever I can get good times,non-stop, for under $200, I jump on them as soon as possible.

Just did a quick search on expedia for feb 2004 and the cheapest flights were 282$. that was out of boston and pvd was even higher. Not such a deal i guess
