My flights with Southwest dropped in price. In the past i would cancel and rebook and end up with a credit. My flights were booked via southwest.com though the flights actually say operated by AirTran. Can i still cancel and get a credit and rebook for the lower price?

Also, I have 5 flights and 2 of them already have a credit applied to them for myself and my daughter. How would this effect if i am able to rebook?

thank you for any help or suggestions.

You probably do not need to cancel and rebook. You just go in and do a change flight.

The tickets that already have credits will expire on the original credit date, not 1 year from when you bought the new ticket.

You can just change your current reservation. The credit will go to each individual name on the reservation. As stated, credit expires 1 year from original purchase date and can only be used by the person named, it cannot be transferred.

Great!

I do know the credits are good from date of purchase. I just wasnt aware about changing the reservation. Thanks!!!

You probably already know but I like to point it out whenever isn't explicitly mentioned:

The travel funds are good for *travel* within 1 year from the date of the earliest purchase. (I made the mistake once of thinking that so long as I booked my next flight within the year I'd be OK.)
