Flight times for FLL after disembarking at Port of Miami

Is a 12 PM flight leaving from FLL doable?

12pm is a great flight time. If you don't have Pre-Check and are also checking bags and like to be at the airport two hours in advance, then I wouldn't stay for second breakfast or have DCL handle your luggage. Just carry your bags off yourself and disembark when the ship opens up- you don't have to fret about being the first ones off. You'll have time. It's about a 30 or 45 minute drive from the Port of Miami to FLL, depending on traffic. It will be easy to be past customs by 9 and at the airport by 10.

Noon should be ok. We've flown out around that time in the past out of FLL and not had any issues. FLL is not as busy an airport as MIA.

Disney's guideline for MIA is noon. They don't offer any for FLL but I would think since FLL is further away, I would wish to allow a little more time. But I'm a person that errs much much more on the side of caution and I don't like racing and rushing and being stressed out. Also, I know my family. They are not morning people!

If you do express walk off and get up early and get off the ship though, you'd be fine.

We've flown out of FLL between 11:15-11:45 twice after getting off the Dream in Miami with no issues. We had a rental car for both trips which gave me more peace than counting on Uber or Lyft. For us it was either that time or getting home super late at night.

Thanks for asking; we’ve got a noon flight out of FLL coming from POM and I was wondering the same thing. From reading trip reports it looks like we will be ok, but glad to get specific opinions on it.

Checking back in post cruise to say YMMV but we had PLENTY of time with a 11:57 AM flight from FLL. We had first seating and our luggage tag was second called. We were out of the terminal by 8 and at FLL by 9.
