Flight purchases

And a lot of it seems like technology for the sake of technology and they try to give you the impression you are somehow behind the times if your life doesn't revolve around the use of their amazing/wonderful phone..............LOL. I still call that clever marketing.

Every app has their own conventions that usually make sense to them but aren't always obvious. I also find that many apps seem to use the same formatting as the website, so the displays don't always look right. Buttons out of place and/or word-wrap gets messed up.

Can't be overlooked that at the end of the yellow brick road that the apps are very helpful tools -- for data mining.

I just checked a delta flight in Dec. to orlando from Atlanta and holy cow. Right at $500.00 which is a couple hundred more than last year. Plus usually there is a basic economy fare and then main cabin but they are not listing a economy fare

Flights out of ATL on Delta have always been expensive. Delta owns the market, knows it, and prices accordingly. Airfare in general is more expensive than the recent past.

Price wise it stinks for ATL to be your home airport. Convenience wise for nonstop flights it is great though. I never have to connect if I fly Delta.

With Spirit you can save on the passenger usage fee by buying at the airport. It's usually around $20 per ticket. Only worth it if you're already there or buying multiple tickets.

This kind of attempt to "other" people and claim superiority is exactly what leads to the frustration that gives birth to things like "okay Boomer".

When I look at how technology has been moving at hyperspeed and impacting so much of daily life over the past 25 years I wonder how most seniors have been able to keep up at all. I wonder if I could have managed if I were in their shoes.

Oh - I'm not claiming superiority over anyone. It's just that technology makes sense to some people more than others. I know some older folks who help out their friends who can't figure it out. Often they were working in technology fields where they had to learn how to adapt quickly.

My dad used to ask me to come over when he needed to print something on his printer. He couldn't figure out how to select the print from a drop-down menu when it went back to the default setting. He couldn't figure out that one extra step no matter how many times I showed it to him.

Yep convenience is worth something just trying to figure how much 😉 Just like car repairs. I take mine to a place near the house in kennesaw. I know I pay a little more but they are open on Saturdays and are close by so I do not mind

What date are you looking at? I just picked three at random (12/10, 12/13, 12/20). There are a handful of FC that are over $400, and I see <$300 for main cabin. Most have basic economy seats available also.

I was just pricing One Way. Is the $500 RT?

Yes it was round trip and dates 11/30 departure and return 12/7

IMO, the problem is the 11/30 departure date. The Sunday after Thanksgiving. Adjust a day earlier and you save money.

Agreed, and also Delta’s fares this far out are always somewhat high. They don’t tend to drop until under 3 months out. Not guaranteeing they drop, but if the demand is less, they will drop as it gets closer to the actual date.

If you're planning to fly during the winter, don't fly Allegiant! We got to our destination in snow country, and when we went back to the airport for our return trip, the plane was on approach when the pilot decided the cloud ceiling was too low (other pilots at the airport disputed that) so pilot turned around with a flight full of passengers and flew back to where they came from. They only had two flights per week to/from that city and we didn't want to book a hotel and wait (and wait) til the next flight. It was cheaper to fly on a different airline which got us home that night.
Oh boy… now you’re doubting the airline captain.

You don’t know what you don’t know.
