flight pass card

My husband just informed me that we have Delta flight pass cards ( his Dad, step mom and mom all worked for the company ) I've never used this before and I'm a little nervous. Has anyone here used a flight pass card before? I know we fly standby but how will that work if I want to use DME??

I work for Delta and fly standby all of the time...In fact I just got back yesterday for Disney and we used the Magical Express.

For the way there just give them the flight info that you are going to try to get on and if you get bumped, you can still utilize ME. They will also still transfer your bags as long as the yellow tag they give you is attached.

On the way back, you can't checkin at the hotel because you are standby, but you can still use the bus. You will just have to take your bags with you to the airport and check in there.
