Flight Help Needed

Ok, so this isn't for our Disney trip, but am hoping all of you wonderful trip planners and budgeters out there can help me. We need flights for 7/23 departing Houston (IAH) arriving Miami for our upcoming cruise. I can find all kind of flights out early morning on the 7/23 which is what we prefer. The problem is the return flights from Miami to Houston on the 30th. I can find a decent rate on AA but it is either 11:30 departure or 4:40. Wouldn't mind the 11:30 flight but is that enough time to get off the ship and clear security at the airport? The flight price for AA is $394 each. Can any of you help with a flight time after 11:45 on the 30th but before 4:40 without it costing more than just a few dollars more? We have a 4 yo so we really don't want to be sitting around the airport forever and would prefer a direct flight.

Call the cruise line. Alot of ships dock in the middle of the night, so getting off very early wouldn't be a problem. However, if it was me, I would take the later flight. I get crazy if Im rushed and with hurricane season, there could be a delay.

Thanks I did call them and they said that the 12 oclock flight I found would be fine if I use their transportation. They guarantee anything after 11:30. So we are booked and ready to go. I'm not too worried about a delay because of a hurricane as I figure if we are delayed for that, it really won't matter what time we have booked.
