While that particular delay cause was resolved there were still significant delays happening for Delta at least, system wide, on Wednesday. Could have still be occurring I can't say, I didn't continue to track it. Just about every flight to every destination was delayed by some amount, most hours. Not just Orlando. When we got to Atlanta every single when we walked from arrival to departure gate display showed a Delay on it's sign. Not one single flight showed on time. To anywhere Delta was flying.
Our flight was 4 hours late departing, probably a mixture of both Orlando's problems, the weather that was moving across FL and whatever issue Delta was having all combined. Our original flight (that we couldn't make) was an hour late leaving Atlanta. The flight we made was 30 min late leaving.
DL just had one of it's biggest hubs get hit with the most snow it's seen in January in 30 years and a ground stop due to a plane sliding off a taxiway. Also there has been some horrible weather on the west coast.
