Ok so like a good little Mommy tonight was our "go" day to get Fastpasses. Took a 90 minute sleep and set the alarm for 9:55pm CST/10:55 EST. I was ready for the 11:00pm CST FP to be available. My list was thought out and I had my plans in my mine all iron out for our FastPasses. Clock struck 11pm and I felt like I was in an Olympic marathon. Kept saying stay focus get the FP and will adjust later if needed. MY DD who will be 6 said "Mommy, I really want to meet Rupunzel and Anna and Elsa" I was like no problem honey Mommy will make it happen.

Low and behold ALL of the Anna/Elsa fast passes were gone except the LAST day we were leaving. On my schedule I had down to do a final walk down Main Street to the Contemporary at 12:30 and leave for MCO at 1:00pm. We have a 3:46 flight and it is right before Thanksgiving I figure travel that week will be bad.

I looked at the FP and it said 12:20-1:20. I was like you have got to be kidding me and snagged it because there was nothing earlier. My husband just came out to see if I got the FP secure and I replied KINDA. He said don't tell me we can't get Anna and Elsa. I replied well we kinda did but we might either miss our flight OR we are going to be rushed leaving MK and you know how that goes most likely we all will end up grumpy from stress of leaving and going home. So he said to call the airline and take the next flight. Which of course is going to cause additional fees.

Now I am toying with taking the next flight out or chancing the Anna Elsa FP. Is it worth changing the ticket??? I am thinking we spent thousands of dollars on this trip. What is a couple of hundred for a change fee vs either missing Anna/Elsa or missing the flight.

Is the wait time with no FP for them horrible, was thinking maybe at Rope Drop book it to see them. I just hate being rushed like that.

ughh

There is no way I'd even consider it. Either I would keep checking for fastpasses, we would head there at rope drop, or we would just skip it.

I guess it depends on if it's really worth that much to you... Personally, I wouldn't... (my daughter Miss 4 wants to meet them badly too), but we would wait in line for 45-60 minutes before changing a flight.

Thanks all. Going to do what you all said, not change flight and check FP to see if it open up for another time and then plan on a RD day or not go at all.

Keep checking FP. Even if you have to think outside the box, like looking for smaller groups of FP that the time over laps. If this doesn't work, just head straight there at RD or check out wait times during the last hour of park operations, wait times will also be shorter during parades and fireworks.

Absolutely not, I wouldn't change flights for that, but we go typically once a year so not a crisis if we don't see somethin. But, another tip, we went to see Anna and Elsa during the fireworks (because we are not rope drop people) and waited maybe 20 minutes. So keep checking and try rope drop or other times.

Hire a private car service to take you to the airport! We do this on every trip and always leave 2 hours prior to our flight which would put you at 1:45 pm. With tip, it's about $100. Much less than changing your flights.

If you do this, I would just suggest using resort airline check in prior to going to MK to print your boarding passes and check any bags. That way you can see A&E, walk to CR and off you go!

If not rope drop maybe the line will be lighter at night closer to closing time?

Nope. Would not. I would head there at Rope Drop and just suck up whatever amount of time the wait was.

A&E waits are averaging around an hour. You can minimize that with a little strategizing. There is no way I'd change a flight for an A&E FP+.

FWIW, on our trip in October all the A&E FP+s were sold out for our entire trip when I logged in at 60 days. There were no slots for even one person the entire week. I told the kids and explained that we'll just have to wait for them if they really want to meet them. They were both fine with that. One hour long wait never killed anyone.
