Flashlight?

I keep on hearing about people packing a small flashlight for reading MNSSHP maps-is this a good idea for MVMCP?

We've been 3x so far and never needed a flashlight. The lights are on in the park, althought they are dimmed to add to the atmosphere. All the shops have bright lights on so you don't need a flashlight.

We do pack glow bracelets for the kids to play with. You can pick them up at dollar tree. Cheaper than buying them in the park. A lot cheaper.

I always have a small (penlight) flashlight in my bag. I find it hard to read certain print as I have reached that age where reading glasses are a necessity. It doesn't take up much room and I know it came in handy for me.

I've been to MVMCP several times. I never have trouble finding lighted spots to read my map.

But I am one of those EDC freaks who carries some kind of flashlight with me everywhere. Mostly I carry an LED light that takes 3 AAA batteries (not exaxctly a keychain light, but pocket-size). Sometimes I carry one or more of these as well:

Hm, I think it's about time for me to get some more of those, all of them that I have are dead...
