Just curious if you can use the flash on the camera at any of the shows (the indoor ones where a flash would be needed).

Thanks
Jodi

oddly enough Legend of the Lion King show allows both video (without lights) and flash photos.

We were there last week and it seemed like almost every show said no flash photography or video cameras with lights on them. I specifically remember that for Tarzan Rocks and Lion King and Indiana Jones. I also think Tiki Birds and Country Bears might have said that, too, but I'm not sure about that. We took a lot of pictures in Small World (at DD(6) request!) and a couple in Buzz, I'm not sure if that's what you were interested in, but I hope that helps.

Not allowed and A WASTE. Consumer flash is only good for about 10 feet. If you want to get indoor pictures use fast film (800 Fujii), a fast lens and hold the camera still.

Legend of the Lion King closed a couple of years ago...but to answer the original question, I think Voyage of the Little Mermaid is the only show that you can't take flash photography but you can video tape without a light.

Most shows and attractions do not allow flash photography.
The CM's will tell you what is allowed or not.

Flash photography in a theatre setting is not appropriate. It's dangerous for the performers and can be blinding to both them and those around you.

I don't remember if they make that announcement at ALL the shows .... but I do remember people doing it anyway at the shows were they did make that announcement ... I remember thinking that they must have thought themselves above the rules.

As an owner of a dance studio ... I do not allow it at my recitals for the safety of my performers and the comfort of the audience. So, please keep these issues in mind before you whip out that flash camera everyone!

Thanks

If you are using a video camera, and especially at Little Mermaid, avoid using the "Nightshot" feature if your camera has it. That sends out an infrared light and will make anything hidden appear on your camera, and possibly other peoples. When I first got my camera with Nightshot, we used it in Little Mermaid, and I turned on the Nightshot just to see what would happen, and all the people in black moving the characters around were lit up like daylight. It was kind of eerie. Also, anyplace where Disney has their infrared cameras set up in rides to monitor people, you can see a flash on the tape of the light blinking.
