Flametree BBQ Open???

Hi,
When we were last at AK in Feb, the Flametree BBQ was only open seasonally, and not then. Does anyone know if it is still like that? Or open all the time now? We are going in March and I'm hoping that it is open.

We walked past it on 1/2/03, and it sure looked open to me. Smelled open, too! We'd already eaten lunch elsewhere, but I was ready for more after a whiff of their BBQ!

We will be there this weekend (in 2 days.... ). Our plan right now is lunch on Saturday at Flametree. If it is open, I'll post when we get back. Look for it here or separately on Wednesday....

My backup lunch is Tusker House, but I'm really hoping for BBQ!

It was open on 01/08/03 when we were there. I can only wish I was still there this week though.

Flametree was open this past Friday, Jan. 17th!!!

Briefly, they cost $11.99 per adult and $5.99 or 6.99 for kids. Can't remember kids price exactly. plus tax.

Each voucher consists of 3 tear off cards...one card entitles you to any entree at any counter restaurant, plus non-al drink.

Other tear off cards good for l bottle soda or bottle water and l popcorn or ice cream bar at carts.

We saved about $8 by buying two adult vouchers. DD and I split the big rib plate at Flametree and ds had the salmon plate at Tusker house. We were given the large sodas, not the small ones without asking.

Later we bought the treats on the way out of the park and ate them while we waited for bus to tMGM.

Hi,

Forgot to say you can buy the vouchers at any of the counter restaurants. Big signs by the restaurant doors with info. I don't think many people buy these vouchers.

When I bought my vouchers at the Tusker House bakery, (bought them right away early) clerk didn't know what I was talking about. She had to ask someone else.
