I have looked at a couple different sights about closings during our trip Sept. 5-11.... One has Flame Tree CLOSED August 9-Sept 19. Has anyone else heard they are closing for a few weeks? Flame Tree is our favorite restaurant in Animal Kingdom!!

Yes there are multiple threads about Flame Tree closing for refurb. I am not sure of the dates, but look around the restaurant boards, they're here somewhere.

Yes, those are the dates that Flame Tree is closed (August 9 through September 19).

Unreal. There goes another plan I had right out the window. Was looking forward to trying it when we were there.

It's so hard to eat in AK. I don't know where we'd eat if Flame Tree was closed when we went.

We're falling back to Pizzafari for lunch at AK during our trip, since Flame Tree will be closed. Will never again eat at Yuk [sic] and Yeti CS.

Sorry to hear this messes up your plans. You might want to give Yak and Yeti a try. We always enjoy it. Pizzafari is not bad either.

Tamu Tamu has Turkey and Swiss on Focaccia or a Tuna Salad Pita. Both are good, and a nice alternative to Pizzafari.

My DS8 loves pizza.... It will be fine for him but what do they serve for adults. I am really going to miss Flame Tree:sad:

Well that sounds like a great reason to try the Picnic in the Park this time then :goodvibes

Their chicken caesar wasn't bad a few years ago if you like that sort of thing.

FYI, make sure they are offering Picnic in the Park while you are there. It is now a "seasonal" thing. Not sure when the season is, but would hate for you to count on it and it not be available.

This is our 4th time in Disney and we have never tried flame tree.We put this on our plans for this year...I was so upset when I found out they were closing...then I realized we are scheduled for AK on the 20th..yay for us! Sorry to those who this affects...I would have been really upset if they were still closed during our week. I am crossing my fingers they open when they say!

Our 1st time in Disney and we also planned on eating at Flame Tree. I was disappointed to read about it closing, but then realized our AK date is also on the 20th!! Here's hoping it actually is open then!

That;s great......if htey are open we may end up there at the same time!! We have a group of 10 and we are all looking forward to it!! Have a great vaca! :woohoo:

Where did you see this info? I've been trying to find restaurant refurb info for our trip and can only find rides.

Thanks,

The Animal Kingdom is our favorite park, and we spend the most time there. I'm disappointed that the Flame Tree will be closed while we are there, but it will force us to try something new. And for us, that's the Yak & Yeti. Anyone have some advice on the Y&Y?
