Flame Tree Barbeque - Animal Kingdom

OK, so we're annual passholders and I rarely write any kind of food report, but here goes. YUMMY. Seriously delicious and inexpensive, too. We obviously don't have the dining plan, but I know it's on there because everyone else in line was using it, lol. I had the Chicken and rib meal (so did Mom) and my DH had the pork sandwich. They came with cole slaw and the chicken/ribs combo also came with baked beans. My DH got 2 orders of fries for us to share. The chicken was fall off the bones tender, perfectly smoked and DELISH! I don't know what the rub is, but YUMMO. same for the ribs...3 ribs and plenty of meat! I was so surprised with this meal. I wasn't super hungry and I had been thinking about Yak and Yeti but wasn't thrilled with the price or photos I had seen of the food. Glad we didn't go down that route. If you're on a budget, for three adults, it was around $40.

Love the look of everything...but the beans. I just don't do beans. I wonder if they'd sub something else for them? more coleslaw? fries?

Flame Tree really does have excellent BBQ!!! The only complaint it is is very difficult finding a table not in the hot sun!

Great Picture! Am planning to stop at Flame Tree for the first time in a few weeks and was debating if I should get ribs or combo. Was planning on ribs. Saw reviews that thought the chicken was dry but now I'm rethinking.........

I don't like baked beans either so I asked for the grapes or carrots (can't remember which) from the kids menu and they had no problem with it.

We love Flametree too and eat there at least once each trip! The onion rings are awesome too! Can't wait for next month!

Great photo - I may have to try the ribs this time (DH & I usually get the pork BBQ, fries & onion rings (to share), cole slaw and beans - way too much food but oh so good!)

LOVE Flametree! We hopped to AK last month just so dh (5) could ride Dinosaur and we could eat there.

Flame tree is a MUST every trip! We usually open it at 10:30 am, haha. There is plenty of shady seating, follow the trails down to the water. We watched Everest being built there. The only thing to warn about - and its not really a complaint - the ducks and white cranes have become very agressive, I guess form people feeding them. One time, I was doing my best to ignore a duck, and he came up at BIT ME right in the Butt!! Obviously, a duck bite doesn't hurt. Actually it was one of the funniest moments of the trip!

I agree that Flame Tree is very good! I was shocked that the chicken was so moist and juicy and the selection of sauces is nice

I agree about the birds! Last time we went, a crane came right up to our table & pulled DHs plate off the table & ate it before he even got a bite! It was so funny but those birds are very aggressive!
