Flair buttons in signatures?

How do you get Facebook style Flair buttons into a DIS sig? Where do you get them? If from FB, how do you get them off of FB? I can only use mine on FB.

The jpg or whatever would be great for other uses too.

Same way you post regular pics. Pull up the properties of your desired flair and paste in the picture tool(yellow box w/mountain) and you're done. You want to do this in the edit signature function so it stays permanent. If you want to do it as an avatar you may have to adjust the size smaller but it can be done easily. If I can figure it out then you can too.

OK, I have the properties URL for a FB flair, but the image button (yellow with mountain) doesn't work here. What should the tags be surrounding the URL?

AND, how do you get them all on 1 line in a sig rather than under each other? Is there another tag for that?

ME ME ME I know!!!

I took mine and saved each flair onto my computer. I opened paint and used the paste from feature to put them in a row, saved them like a regular file and uploaded my file to photobucket, then dropped it into my siggy! It was pretty darn easy! If you need more help drop me a pm.

I am using FB flair. If the icon doesn't work then you want to use

to surround the button. it should work

just line them up next to each other with no spaces between the [/img]

I mustn't be getting the URL for the picture from the right place. It just shows up as a red X in my sig.

I searched on FB flair app for flair I wanted. On the page with all the flair results, I right clicked on one I liked & copied the properties. Should I be getting its properties from somewhere else? I can't seem to get them from my own profile on FB.

Why am I having so much trouble with this?

Got it. The URL property from FB was chopped off. It ended in a period & didn't include the .jpg extension. Once I added that, it works. Phew!

OctoberBride, do you have any tips for getting a flair for a DISboards avatar? I've tried copying the new flair directly here to the avatar box and using photobucket, but the DIS won't let me post it. Any suggestions? I keep getting the remote file is too large message. I can't remember how I got the flair button I currently have as my avatar

I figured out what I did to get the flair button as my DIS avatar. Save the FB flair to your computer and when you have to choose where to pull the image from on Disboards, select it from your computer (do not use the direct link line). It should work.

Flair buttons are part of the silliness on facebook. Beyond that I do not have a clue about them.

look for a flair button that looks like this

or type in flair in the search box. I've taken DISigns and shrunk them to flair button size. Its fun!
