Hey fellow Floridians! I thought it would be fun and informational for us to post the rates and dates we're getting for the new code released this morning.

I got 174.00 a night inc. tax for Ft. Wilderness Cabins 12/15 - 12/18. :flower:

I tried for POP or ASMovies for 10/7 - 10/9 but I was told they were not available for either of those resorts on those dates. :confused3

Anyone else?

114.00 Nov 11 at Coronado.

Not great, but the only deal available.

All Deluxe are sold out and values are 94.00.

Tried for FL Rate for POFQ - 10/19 to 10/23 (Wanted Riverside - no rooms), no discount available at all. Paying $182.66 a night - ouch!!! (This includes tax and a third adult in the room)

Have no choice - It's Mom's 70th B'day and the other family members have already made their reservations.

$94 per night, including tax, standard room at Pop October 14th. We are not happy with this at all..but we are going up for the Ming Tsai lunch/learn...ugh.

Then for our november dates..5-9, they quoted us $264 per night plus tax at boardwalk inn. I told them to keep it. That was for a standard room..ugh.

Disney certainly doesn't need its residents when business is good..ticks me off.

$127 per night for POR (10/9-10/11) Same rate for CBR one night at end of October (10/29). Standard rooms and that includes tax. Thanks to my TA at Fairytale Dreams and Destinations for hooking me up that rate!!! Some discount is better than none. I was willing to pay the rate without the discount, so this is just more money to spend at the Food and Wine Festival!!!!

$114 per night at PO Riverside for Oct 14-16. :cool1: WL had sold out of Fla residents rates before 10 a.m. for that weekend. We Floridians get up awfully early!

Called about WL for 10/7-10/9 ....nothing whatsoever :( Most of the resorts across the board seem to be booked solid. I guess I should be happy we have our ressie at WL even without the discount since there doesn't seem to be any availibility and we already have our MNSSHP tickets but Sheesh :( Throw us a bone...

I have already booked a 1 bedroom villa at the BWV. I have been waiting for the Fl resident discount to come out. How much of a discount is the fl resident? What discount would be better... fl resident, AP discount, or AAA discount? Any input would be suggested. Thanks ahead of time.

Mousemom218 - Just curious - Could I ask you about what time of the day today you made your reservations? I know I'm not going down the same dates that you are, but your timeframe is over a weekend. I started at 8:50 AM this morning and nothing was available 10/19-10/23 at PORS or POFQ.
Thanks for your reply.

When are you traveling? As of right now, AP rates are only available through the best rate program (accessible through Disney's website) so your 2 discount options are FL res and AAA. Historically, I have *always* found Fl res. rates to be better than AAA.

Hope this helps!

My FL res. rates. :sunny:

Actually, this is for my parent's room. DH and I booked through the best rate plan since our dates are set in stone, but my parents aren't so....

AKL Std. Pool view - $217 after tax (rack rate is $295 after tax)

It turns out that the FL resident rate is the *exact* same rate as the AP Best Rate plan rate.

Got POR for $110 per night, including tax for 11/27 - Dec 1 - Fl res discount. Went on the website and got the best rate for $104/night including tax .... took best rate instead of FL res rate.

Planning a trip over Thanksgiving. Will be staying in Disney Nov 27-30th.
Called today to ask a question pertaining to Florida residency. Question was, Am I considered a FL resident, even though we own a home but only stay there 2 weeks out of the year?
If anyone has the answer to the above question that would be great.
Anyway, asked for FL rates at GF she gave me conceirge for $400 then asked about AAA because was not sure if I was considered FL resident. She gave me a rate of $391. What's up with that? She, herself could not understand it and after she hung up with me she was going to make note of this. I wound up booking AAA rate. Is it decent for where we are staying? Have not done conceirge at GF. I plan on calling tomorrow again to make sure FL rate has not changed.
Thanks-
Christine

Pop Century 12/1-4th, booked tonight. $64, but I think I am going to cancel & book thru best rate at $59 (will save $15 + tax & that is a lunch in the food court). As long as there isn't a fee to change the best rate program ressie, it may be worth it for me. I do have my MVMCP tickets, I know who will be going .... I just don't like the "non refundable dep" but, if I had to, I could switch it to a weekend in Jan.... I will decide tomorrow for sure...

I found at the value resorts today the AAA rates were as good or better than the FL resident rates. I thought it was odd as I have never seen that happen before.

you are heading home when I head up.... too bad, we could have car-pooled :rotfl:

Ok... a few more minutes & it will be tomorrow.. I have decided to cancel my Fl rate ressie. I just booked with the best rate program for my Dec 1-4th trip. My rate went from (w/tax) $71.36 to 65.39. Not much but it is a lunch. I have a sinking feeling that these FL rates that we are seeing now (higher than AP) are what will may be seeing in the future. I hope it isn't but.... just seems it may...

Pluto4me...I know your question was directed at Mousemom218 but just thought I'd let ya know what the CM I talked to had said.....I called to see if I could get the discount applied to my existing ressie at WL and was told that because the WL was already booked solid, that was basically why there were no rooms available with the discount :guilty: No need to discount rooms that are already selling is the way it was pretty much explained  If there was no availibility at POR or FQ then they wouldn't have the discount either if they way she explained it is correct :confused3 Did you mean nothing was availible at all? or just nothing availible with the discount? Anyway, sounds like not many of us lucked out with the FL resident discount at WL:(

Just quoted $114 plus tax at POR one night 11/26. Also quoted $99 plus tax at POR from 12/17 to 12/21. I have reservations at the Dolphin for both these trips at $169 and $149 respectivly. I am keeping the Dolphin for the 11/26 one night trip and changing to POR for the longer trip. I Like the Dolphin and can justify the higher price for one night but not for four nights. By the way I have three kids so with a family of 5 my choices are Dolphin, POR or select deluxe resorts. I do wish there were more moderates for families of 5. My wife is a teacher so I can usually get the Doplhin at a reasonable price, but really have to splurge to go with CR of Poly.

I just got off the phone and was keeping my fingers crossed and thinking lots of PD and YAHOO I was able to get it for my stay at the CSR 12/6-11 for $110 which is better than the $149 I started with.
I didn't think I would have any luck since I missed out on it yesterday but I live in S. FL and we were having a little Hurricane problems down our way.....:(
