Anyone watching for FL resident rates for Feb 2009? I'm wondering when these rates usually come out. Right now I have a AAA rate but cast member told me FL resident rates are usually much better. Let's hope!

No one knows yet what they will offer for next Feb, but here is the info on last years FL Res Feb deals to give you an idea (btw, they came out around January 4, 2008, so only about a month before) - info from mouseplanet:

Passholder, Florida Resident discounts available through March 6, 2008
Annual Passholders and Florida residents can take advantage of discounted room rates from now through March 6. From now through February 13, with the exception of Martin Luther King weekend, passholders and Florida residents can stay at value resorts for as low as $49 per night, moderate resorts for as little as $99 per night, or a deluxe villa resort starting at $149 per night (all rates in this article do not include tax). Deluxe resorts are also available. Passholders should use booking code FHJ, while Florida residents should use code FHN.

Rates are a bit higher for stays most Sunday through Thursday nights from February 18 through March 6. Value resorts run $79 per nights, moderates are $139 per night and deluxe villas are $249 per night. Passholders use booking code FIE, Florida residents use code FIU.

Note that the number of rooms available at these rates is limited. Minimum length of stay requirements may apply for Friday or Saturday arrivals at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa. No group rates or other discounts apply. Adult Annual Passes or proof of Florida residency must be shown at check-in.

In addition, from now through February 29 Florida residents can get a Disney Play 4 Days Pass for $34 off the normal price. The pass gives you four admissions to any of the four Walt Disney World theme parks, one park per day, for $125 plus tax. The pass is valid for six months from first use.

do these rates apply for all resorts or only select resorts? BTW, i got a code last May for the FL resident about one month before our trip.

Something I just learned with the Fall Rates. On Disney's website it said some of the dates were 12/13 - 12/23. but it was not showing the price for 12/13 like it was the other nights. So I thought it was an error. I booked my 2 nights rack rate for 12/13 and FL rate for 12/14. When I was looking for a hotel for 12/12 (we want to leave a day early) I was linked to Disney's site for the general public code. Guess what? They had the 12/13 discount. I called today and asked about why FL residents didn't have a discount for that night and I was told there was a glitch on the website. I could now get the code but I'd have to switch from ASMu to ASsports. But I would now save $20(don't flame me but that will pay most of my tolls). I switched but I am now going to write Guests Services to ask that they keep me at ASMu. I booked over a month ago and ASMu probably had availablility for the resident rate. Their glitch was not my fault. But I want to let everyone know if it says your date call Disney to make sure you get the right discount. Imagine if I went deluxe what I would have spent because of the glitch.

I think last year it was all resorts but was also based on availability, so the one you wanted might or might not have had space

Last February it was about the same for FL resident and AAA.

There was a good FL resident ticket deal, pay for the 3 day pass and get 4th day free.
