Fl Resident Rate Glitch

Thaks to tashartx's post about the rate that came up for CSR I am now staying 10/14 for 3 nights at a grand total of $180 I started playing with my dates & got that. I booked it asap. I have my confirmation number & printed out the confirmation where it shows I made my dep of $60.32 and my balance is now $120.64. I tried it for some of my other dates, but it came up what it should. Disney just got $180 out of me... and I wasn't even planning on going. That was the weekend that I had thought about going to HHN. I guess I can still do that & just drive back to CSR

From what I can see, it is only on CSR & for either 3 or 4 adults... makes no sence to me. If you put in kids, the rate goes up. Go into the Disney web site, go under Fl Resident Rates Oct-Nov mods $84. Put in your dates, and how many (4) adults. The go to CSR & see what happens... I am on looking for other dates now and a friend of mine is looking for hers They will realize just as they did on the rates they had out for the week of Christmas. I could kick myself for not getting them.

Is there any way to pay the rest of the balance? So they cant just cancle my deposit. Id rather pay it all off right now.

Ps. Did they cancle the people who booked at the Christmas rate.

There is no way to pay it ahead of time & so far no one has posted on here that they have been canceled from their Christmass ressies...I would imagine that they can cancel & refund me my dep. I hope they honor the glitch like the Holiday Inn did this summer... I think posters were saying they got that for $1.93 per night.

If they were to cancel I think we could try to argue it, we did give the deposit. Where are you flying from?? Are you a FL resident? This is for residents. As far as the Christmas time glitch, it was on this sub board...just keep going back pages...you will see it....I think the OP of that one got the WL for $123...if that helps you on a search

Well, I am glad that you were able to take advantage of it. We have all of our information printed, as well. We are waiting to see what happens when we receive our confirmation in the mail. I played with it later and noticed the more dates you add the cheaper the price got. Regardless, we are just glad to be going to Disney twice in a year.

not only the more days, but also if you put in 4 adults it gets cheaper... I just booked for Thanksgiving for 4 nights $107
They are also now showing CBR as well!!!! A friend of mine is doing that one as we speak....do what you can... they will realize it soon & change it as they did the Christmas week glitch

This post has brought me out of lurkdom into the community. I'm having a blast on the Florida resident section. This is a MAJOR glitch, apparently they'll pay me $32.80 to stay at CSR for 5 nights starting on 11/22. If only I actually LIVED in Florida.

Well as of now, I have booked 2 trips, my sister has booked one, one friend of mine has book 1 & her son has booked 1, then another friend has booked 2. We will see if they call & cancel it on us. It is even coming up under "my vacations" with the price I am paying.... now to break this news to my husband... he is going to kill me Here is my list of dates:

Sept 2-4....AS-Movies $59
Oct. 1-4....Pop Century $59
Oct.13-17..Coronado Springs $60.32 (with tax & the glitch)
Nov.23-27..Coronado Springs $26.88 (with tax & the glitch)
Dec. 1-4....Pop Century $59
Dec 18-21..Royal Pacific Resort $129.


Now I have to see if the glitch's will be honored if not... I will cancel since it is't the rate that they stated.

Wow too bad I'm getting there on the 27th (my grandmother who is going too is a FL resident). I was quoted $43.50 per night at Coronado Springs and $61.32 a night for Caribbean Beach for the week before our trip, but the glitch doesn't seem to apply to the week we are going.

Aww just as I found Caribbean Beach for $10 a night they went down for maintenence. Oh well! I hope you all get to keep your cheap rates!

Well my parents live in FL. They are the FL Residents with the FL APS. I am in NY and will be flying in to go. I booked it under me, with there address, and have them in the room. So ill be flying from NY to FL.

If you read the terms and conditions, I think the person booking and paying needs to be the FL resident..I am not sure. I hope you can still do it your way. If you were to check in & not have a FL ID, you will be charged rack rate. Mybe you should have done it in your parents name, unless you explain that they have "no computer & no credit card", and they are still in your room???? Keep your fingers crossed. If I were you, I would verify before booking a flight.

WOW! What a terrific piece of luck (PD). I think it's poetic justice they way rates have gone up and discounts not as healthy for the AP holder as in previous years!

If Disney tries go get out of it, I'd fight like heck! There are "Truth in Adverstising" Laws that would make it illegal for them to get out of it. Basically if something is advertised/offered at a certain price, if a buyer wants it at that price the seller can't change it.

I am on it now & it is still showing...in fact for my dates, they are also no showing CBR & last night they didn't. So if they went down for maintence...they are back up & still not fixed.....

If you go as far as the confirmation they are subtracting rather than adding the tax. The more rooms you add, the lower the rate. Do you think they will honor it?

I am hoping that they do, especially since the "room rate" that they quote on the confirmation is rack rate & not FL resident rate....I think.... it says reg price $144 & that isn't a Fl Rate. If they don't honor it, they must give us back out deposits...they cannot hold us to a ressie that isn't the price we booked. If worse comes to worse... I will not go. I added these 2 trips only because of the price...
